The line graph indicates the percentage of people aged 65 and more in Japan, Sweden, and the USA

over the period of 100 years.

It is clear that there was an upward trend in elder populations in three different countries (Japan,
Sweden, the USA) from 1940 to 2040. Japan is expected to see the most dramatic changes in older
people proportion.
In 1940 the proportion of older people was the highest, at around 8 percent, while the figure for
Japan was lowest, only 5 percent. From 1940 to 2020, the figures for Sweden and the USA gradually
increased. The percentage of people aged 65 and more in Japan fell slightly at first, but in around
2010, it showed signs of improving.
In the future, Japan is predicted to overtake Sweden and the United States as the country with the
highest proportion of people aged 65 and up, at roughly 27%. The elderly population in the United
States is expected to be lower in the future than in Japan and Sweden.
The line chart compares the proportion of water used in three sectors (agriculture, industrial use,
domestic use) between 1900 and 2000 and the table shows the water usage in Brazil and Congo in
2000.
It is clear that the amount of water used for three sectors in the world significantly increased,
agriculture used the major global water during the period shown. similarly, we can also see an
upward trend in water consumption in Brazil and Congo in 2000.
In 1900, residential water consumption was the lowest, while the figure for agriculture was the
highest, at around 500 km³. By 2000, the water used for agriculture rose dramatically, at about
3000km³, the figure for industrial use increased approximately 1200km³. At the same time, the
amount of water consumed for houses grew, only at around 500km³.
In 2000, the population in Brazil was 176 million, in Congo was 5.2 million. Water consumption in
Brazil and Congo were 359 m3 and 8 m3 per person, respectively. The amount of water consumed
for agriculture in Brazil had 256 times that in Congo.
