1. In 2-3 statements, based on your own understanding, how will you compare and contrast the life of a
Filipino in the 19 the century and your life today? Write/type your answer on the space provided below:

Basically, our life today was kinda different from the life of Filipino people during 19 th centuries but
there were some, like our practices, cultures, traditions and religions that still remain same as before.
The merely thing that makes our life dissimilar from the past is that, we are no longer a slave and under
the supervision of abusive Spanish Spaniards because we are now a democratic and independent
country. Our life today is much better because we’re already free, we can able to choose our leaders
and religions that we want, and we are now have a privilege to speak for ourselves to hear out our voice
against the unrighteous acts of government.

2. In 2-3 statements, what do you think is the best thing that you can do to make a difference in your
present condition especially in politics? Write/type your answer on the space provided below:

For me as a student, the best way I can do to make different is to advocate my fellow co-students and
youths to become a good citizen to lessen the problems of government in our country. And also, I’ll be
encouraging them to register their selves to the Comelec for the upcoming election so that they can
choose a good advocator leader to govern, a kind of leader who possesses devotion to his/her
countrymen as well as the nation. Lastly, I will use my voice to stand out for the rights of people to
suppress the inequitable practices of governments.

EVALUATE

19th Century Government Contemporary Government

In 19th century the government was very
conservative, they don’t want innovation because
they want to preserve their brutality and drastic
institutions which led by the Spanish Spaniards.
Filipino in this time was under controlled by the
government/Spaniards and they don’t have a
power to remonstrate the system.
Today we have now a Democratic – republic form
of government whereby it has three branches
namely: the executive, legislative, and the
judiciary. People in the contemporary
government has a privilege to choose and speak
for their rights.

The head of the Philippines during this era is the
governor-general affiliated by the church friar,
not the Filipinos because they deprived our rights
and power to preside ,that’s why our fore heroes
decide to had a revolutions against the
Spaniards.
It is the Filipino who govern the nations right
now. We have the president and other types of
government who made and execute the law to
achieve the orderliness of the country.
