1.Ah!

How Grossmont Middle College High School is situated

2. Like a quiet person in the corner of a party
3. Placed along, in repose amongst the college buildings
4. But I love her, for her college credits, her convenience

5. My song rises above the basic poems of my peers

6. My heart pumps school pride, my veins filled with green and golden ichor
7. Though I lack a license, I am driven back to her each and every weekday
8. How I missed you for a year, trapped in 2 dimensions

9. She’s older than I’ll ever remember, filled with the antique love of those who came before
10. But now, now she is vibrating, filled with students, learning, caffeine and hormones
11. Taking roll, the mismatched voices, shuffling, angst, smiles
12. The trailer, trailing success of the students who came and went
13. Looking on as the silent drama of a new class plays out

13. Her crisp and orderly chairs, the hoodies and denim that fill them
14. The posters, hanging for yet another generation
15. The desk, strewn with wires, pumping information directly to our impressionable brains
16. The whiteboard, witten over a thousand times before, cleaned and set for a new lesson

17. How lovely she is, tucked away amongst the arid sprawl
18. Her lipstick marks on my transcript
19. She leads me to an education she can never give me
20. Such a short, romantic period of time

21.My heart quickens each time I hear her robo calls

22. An academic pasture within those hallowed walls
