Golf

Story Treatment/ 14 September 2020

Zach Voss

Logline: When a golfer loses his ball, he finds a bit more than
just a rough in the green.

Act One: Start on a green hill. Suddenly, a white ball rolls over
the grass and passes the camera. As the ball moves out of frame,
Golfer #1 arises from the top of the hill. He walks down in
search of his ball. As he gets to the bottom of the hill, he sees
a ball near some bushes. He runs to it, expecting it to be his
ball.

Act Two: He picks it up to see a random woman’s face printed on

it. He decides to pocket it (hey, free ball?!) when stops dead in
his tracks. He looks forward to see a trail of golf balls leading
through the forest. Intrigued by this set up, he follows the
path. He walks through the trees and stops right in front of a 5
by 5 bottomless pit.

Act Three: Mesmerized by the sight of thousands of golf balls, he

inches himself closer to the edge. He really wants to get a good
look to see what is at the bottom. Realizing he is too close, he
turns around but is suddenly rushed by the golf balls. They start
to move, piling on to his feet till he loses his balance and
falls in the pit.

Wrap-Up: A similar set up to the intro scene. A ball rolls down

the hill and this time Golfer #2 runs after her ball. As she gets
to the bottom, she sees a ball and picks it up assuming it is
hers. She lifts it to reveal Golfer #1’s face on the ball.
