that started with a batch of 150 students
has grown successfully over a period of 8

Budget,Timeline,
and Deliverables
When we hear the word finance, the first thing that comes
in our mind, is the stock market, the charts and the indexes.
The stock market may open at 9:00 AM, but it does not
close at 3:30 PM, it never sleeps. There’s a world behind the
charts, statements and figures. There are dynamics that get
the entire world of finance in action. Just like a swing, the
market is sometimes up & sometimes down. Bulls-Bears,
It’s all at the tip of your fingers. You either float on the
profits or drown in the oceans of loss, it’s all about your
decisions. We present to you MONETA 2021, the skill
exchange hub that gives you a sneak peek into what runs
behind the scenes of finance. The events, processes,
politics, trading, decision making, legalities, and a lot more.

Vision
To help students apply theoretical knowledge to the real
world and bring out potential financial wizards from
amongst the student’s community hub by providing them
exposure to financial markets from a young age.

Mission
• To impart knowledge about financial markets and give the
students an opportunity to practically witness the various
aspects and happenings of the financial market
• To inculcate a culture of savings, mobilize savings by way
of investments, so as to empower the youth of India.
• To motivate aspiring market participants to adopt the
practice of systematic research
• To indoctrinate an information-based approach to trading
and investing, discouraging rumor-based speculation

Objectives
• The end goal of MONETA has been always to impart
financial literacy and intimate understanding of the economic
environment.
• MONETA has strived hard to achieve this goal over the years
through its stimulating competitions, enriching seminars, and
interactive workshops. It strives to achieve the perfect blend of
learning and conceptual clarity by merging textbook theory
with practicality.
• MONETA aims at providing the students a platform to apply
their theoretical knowledge and understanding of the financial
world in live competitions modeled on the basis of real
scenarios.

1. Seminars: “A moment's insight is sometimes worth a life's

experience." Seminars include talks by the crème de la crème
from various industries-mainly finance, covering a plethora of
topics.
2. Events: The best way to learn is to compete and the best
competition is when there is a reward! Every event at MONETA
is designed to cover the various aspects of the field of finance.
3. Workshops: Being able to write a flawless essay or short
note is not enough. You have to be able to efficiently deal with
practical variables that books tend to exclude. With our
workshops, we want to bring those variables into play.
4. Panel Discussion: A remarkable gathering, comprising of

BULL RING
India gave Asia its first stock exchange and it houses the fastest
stock exchange. Worldwide there are two largest stock exchanges
by virtue of market capitalization, something is definitely right
about the way people perceive them. The MONETA Flagship
event, Bullring is our very own simulated Stock Exchange.
MONETA is proud to be the sole event at an undergraduate level
which is powered by National Stock Exchange, Organized at a Pan
India level. A trading platform so real that one tends to forget that
it’s a mock.

MANOBHAV
A Regional Language-based Case Study competition via which we
aim to promote the use of regional languages like Hindi, Marathi,
Gujarati, and Tamil over conventionally used English language.

POLICY PROPHECY
MONETA® 2021 takes great pride in announcing the formation of
a new event, focusing on the growing field of Actuarial Science. It
aims at spreading knowledge about the actuary field as well as
giving a taste of the insurance sector in a fun and interesting way.

Institutional Social Responsibility

IKSHANA - I for an Eye

Life is more about what we give to the world than what we

keep to ourselves. We have grown on land that epitomizes
humanity. We have always believed in Vasudaiva
Kutumbakam, meaning the world is my family. To imbibe
this learning and to attempt spreading a ray of light in a few
lives, we have taken up an initiative for teaching basic
grammar and general knowledge to visually challenged
children, which would help them rise above their inability.
We would be utilizing Audio Modules for this ISR initiative.
We are extremely fortunate to have found certain schools to
collaborate with, to undertake this activity. We hope that
our small step helps the children take a leap towards a
brighter future.

Contingent Leaders meet.

Annual Athletic Meet for the
Underprivileged
Student volunteers from R. A. Podar
College reach out to school-going
students from Barhanpur and
neighboring areas and conduct an
athletic meet consisting of various
relays and sports competitions for
them. The purpose of this meet is to
inculcate values of team spirit,
leadership, agility, etc. within the
students.
The winners are awarded medals,
certificates, and trophies.
Participation certificates are
awarded to all 250-300 student
participants of the event.

Health & Hygiene Camp

Team MONETA organizes extensive camps to promote the

significance of sanitation and hygiene. Our team leaves no stone
unturned to ensure that these guidelines and demonstrations
are presented to as many students from rural background as
possible.

We conduct a special segment on importance of dental hygiene

with the help of 3-dimensional clay models.
