Introduction

1. Introduction
The TRITOP system is factory-preadjusted. Therefore, you generally
do not need to make any configuration settings for the camera, soft-
ware etc.

The information given in this User Information only ensures that the
correct settings can be adjusted again in case the shipping configu-
ration was changed or in case a check needs to be done because of
a failure.

This User Information does not replace the original Nikon User Manu-
als.
Before using the camera for the first time, familiarize with the camera
functions by reading the Nikon User Manual.

The shown settings are guide values. For adjusting the intensity, press
the SEL key. Then, you may adjust the value using the selector dial
and confirm it with OK. Focal length is set automatically as soon as
the flash is mounted on the camera. However, you may also adjust the
value manually. After you pressed the button Zoom, you may choose

24 mm using the selector dial.

If the value of 24 mm was not set automatically, please check wheth-
er the diffuser is folded out. The diffuser has to be folded in and in-
serted completely to enable the setting of the value.
The illumination pattern selector (right sliding switch) normally is in
position Standard (top position). However, if required, you may
change illumination pattern selector to Even (bottom position).
The Nikon D300s automatically sets the DX format.

WiFi Operation Settings

5. WiFi Operation Settings

For notebook or PC operation, always an external WiFi router is re-
quired. The WiFi router needs to be connected to a mains outlet and
to the second Ethernet interface (GOM LAN). The additional Ethernet
interface at the notebook is implemented by an USB or an Express
Card adapter.
When entering the parameters, please observe the capitalization!

5.1 Important Note to the Secure Data Transfer:

The WiFi connection is protected by Wi-Fi Protected Access 2
(WPA2) and based on the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES).
The encryption is factory-preadjusted to the GOM Standard Pass-
phrase (Default Encryption) 712ba354fe.
For a secure WiFi connection you need to individualize the pass-
phrase!
For maximum security it is enough to use a long password (if possi-
ble, 64 characters with capital and small letters as well as special
signs and numbers).
The passphrases that you need to individualize are highlighted in
blue in this User Information.

5.2 PC

5.2.1 PC Settings
The IP address (second Ethernet interface GOM LAN, default factory-
adjustment): 192.168.2.1 (additional address).

5.3 WiFi Router

You may only use the WiFi router if the router was duly connected to
the GOM PC or laptop via the second Ethernet interface (GOM LAN).
The factory-adjusted WiFi router is to be configured via web interface
(e.g. Firefox) using the GOM router IP address192.168.2.050 . 19-Mar-2013

In case of an error, you may reset the router (without losing the GOM
factory-settings) by interrupting the power supply for a short time.

If, in contrary to the instructions, the router was reset using the rear
Reset button, you may get to it with the IP address 192.168.1.1, user
name: admin and password: password using another PC (operated
as DHCP server).
Using the GOM PC for this procedure may not be possible, since this
IP address could be already taken.

5.4 The Cameras Nikon D300 and D300s

You may only adjust the WiFi configuration if you duly connected the
Nikon WiFi transmitter to the camera, the WiFi router has been con-
figured correctly and connected to a GOM PC or laptop (via the sec-
ond Ethernet interface) and all devices are switched on.
If you use WiFi in combination with TRITOP, you have to open the dia-
log Add images from WiFi to project (at the end of the dialog New
Project).
If the images could not be transferred, because e. g. the WiFi con-
nection did not work or the software dialog was not opened com-
pletely, the images will be transferred automatically after the problem
is solved.

Please note that after the transmission the images will be deleted au-
tomatically from the CF memory card.
