THE SEARCH
FOR MR.
GUIDELINES, AND CRITERIA FOR JUDGING, AWARDS AND SCHEDULED OF ACTIVITIES
MECHANICS,

I. MS.
OVER ALL GUIDELINES
1. This pageant, with the exception of those who are already won titles, is open to all
CRIMINOLOGY
bona fide students of Golden West Colleges.
2. Each Set/Section of every year level must have one (1) male and one (1) female
2022
representative.
3. Department officers are DISQUALIFIED to join the pageant.
4. The organizing committee has the right to call the attention of the candidates in
cases of any untoward behavior that would cause disturbance of the scheduled
activities.
5. The organizing committee will conduct a preliminary screening to determine the top
ten (10) male and female candidates that will advance to the pageant proper.
6. After the preliminary screening, the selected official candidates are not allowed to
quit or back-out.
7. Following the rules and regulations of the said event are highly valued. Failure to
follow the same shall be a ground for disqualification.
8. Respect and self-discipline is a must.
9. The following are the categories of the said Pageant:
a. Uniform Wear;
b. Talent Portion;
c. Combat Wear; and
d. Question and Answer Portion.
10. The determination of the top five (5) pairs will be based according to the total
scores in all four (4) categories.

II. MECHANICS IN TALENT PORTION

1. Every candidate will be given a maximum time of five (5) minutes for their talent
presentation including their entrance and exit.

2. No profanity or vulgar words are allowed.

3. Candidates are not allowed to wear and use harmful props/materials which can harm
them and other people.

4. Candidates must wear appropriate clothing or attire. Revealing outfits that expose
too much skin is strongly discourage.

5. The presentation is in individual form, but they are allowed to have a two (2) back
up dancers and one (1) back-up singer.

III. CRITERIA FOR JUDGING

A. UNIFORM WEAR (20%)

 Stage Presence/carriage ------------------------- 15%


 Over all look (Poise and Projection) -------------- 5%

B. TALENT PORTION (20%)

 Mastery and Fluidity ----------------------------- 10%


 Degree of Difficulty ----------------------------- 5%
 Stage Presence ----------------------------------- 5%

C. COMBAT WEAR (20%)

 Poise and Projection ------------------------------ 10%


 Design and Originality ---------------------------- 5%
 Overall impact/totality of the look ------------- - 5%

D. QUESTION AND ANSWER PORTION (40%)

 Relevancy of answer to the question ------------- 30%


 Wit (how the question is being tackle,
quick response, and grace under pressure) ------- 10%

IV. AWARDS

The following are the special awards that will be given to candidates that top each
category;

A. Best in Uniform Wear

B. Best in Talent

C. Best in Combat Wear

D. People’s Choice Award (Most Heart React Picture)

The Major Awards are the following;

A. Mr. and Ms. Criminology 2022

B. Mr. and Ms. Criminology 1st Runner Up 2022

C. Mr. and Ms. Criminology 2nd Runner Up 2022
