The Hare & the Tortoise:

A Hare was making fun of the Tortoise one day for being so slow.

"Do you ever get anywhere?" he asked with a mocking laugh.

"Yes," replied the Tortoise, "and I get there sooner than you think. I'll run you a race and prove it."

The Hare was much amused at the idea of running a race with the Tortoise, but for the fun of the thing
he agreed. So the Fox, who had consented to act as judge, marked the distance and started the runners
off. The Hare was soon far out of sight, and to make the Tortoise feel very deeply how ridiculous it was
for him to try a race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the Tortoise should
catch up. The Tortoise meanwhile kept going slowly but steadily, and, after a time, passed the place
where the Hare was sleeping. But the Hare slept on very peacefully; and when at last he did wake up,
the Tortoise was near the goal. The Hare now ran his swiftest, but he could not overtake the Tortoise in
time.

Moral: The race is not always to the swift.

ALTERED

There was once a poor and rich family of animals. The Hare family, they are the rich ones who are
arrogant. Then, there is the Tortoise family, they are poor but kind and humble ones.

The Hare and Tortoise family both only have one son. The father of Yertle works at the Hare family ,
Yertle also always wants to go with his father at work even though he always get bullied by the Hares'
family son Thumper , he always making fun of Yertle for being so slow.

"Do you ever get anywhere?" he always asked with a mocking laugh.

"Yes," replied the Tortoise, "and I get there sooner than you think, I will participate in the race run by the
Lion king , and I will prove it to you."

"Ohhh..., poor Yertle do you even know that I always win on that race?" said by the bunny with smirked
in his face.

As Yertle have said there will be a race run by the lion king. There will be a big prize for the champion
and consolation prizes for the top 3. Yertle thinks of participating the race not just to prove to Thumper
that he is not what he thinks he is but also to help his parents.

The race is approaching; Yertle is getting ready while Thumper is just so proud of himself as always.
Yertle looks around and sees the other participants. The other participants are the squirrel, monkey, and
rodent. Yertle feels kind of nervous, because the participants are also faster than him and he also feels
now that he will not win. He now also thinks that the Thumer is right.

Despite the situation, Yertle did not despair and continued to fight. The race has started and everyone is
heading to the finish line, but Yertle is slowly moving towards the finish line. As they preceded thumper
to the finish line, he thought of beating the other participating teammates. One by one thumper misled
other players squirrel, monkey, and rodent. After he did this he first thought to rest because he was
tired, he did not think of Yertle because he knew Yertle would lose because he moved slowly. But Yertle
is already in the middle of the road to the finish line. As he was heading to the finish line he saw
thumper sleeping soundly, he did not wake up thumper because he might get angry. Later, thumper
woke up, he saw Yertle near the finish line and he was followed by the other participants in the race. He
tried to chase but it was too late. Yertle was first in the race, second was the monkey and third was the
squirrel. Thumper was very disappointed with the defeat; he was also accused of cheating on other
players. Thumper realized his sins and his mistreatment of the tortoise family. He apologized to Yertle
and his family. Yertle forgave thumper. But Thumper will still be punished for his role in the game. THE
