Application of cream learning stratrgy to improve lifelong learning characteristics

CREAM learning strategy includes these five aspects : creative, reflective, effective,

active and motivated. The first one is creative.“Creativity is especially important for

generating ideas.”（《The Study Skills Handbook》）Cultivating creativity helps with

learning a lot. Creativity can make us more active in future learning and make our thinking

more unique. Reflection is the consolidation and improvement of learning. Timely reflection

can connect knowledge and deepen our insights into problems. Efficiency saves a lot of time.

It allows us to learn more or do more. We can improve our learning efficiency by rational

planning and using technology. Active attitude drives our learning and is directly related to

learning outcomes. We should be fully active both physically and mentally. Motivated means

that we should know our goal and set out the steps to achieve it. “Your level of motivation

will affect your success. You need strong motivation to keep yourself going at such

times.”（《The Study Skills Handbook》）Setting a clear plan is a good way to make us

more motivated.

These five aspects are interrelated and influence each other closely.“Developing each

of these aspects strengthens all the others.”（《The Study Skills Handbook》）We need to

make good use of CREAM learning strategy and grasp these five aspects. I firmly believe

that it will contribute greatly to our lifelong learning.
