ENTREP Q & A

- What I’ve learned in our ILS Expo, so our ils is about servicing people one of these
is act as you are a tour guide. I am a shy person, and in this Public Speaking is an
acquired skill, I somehow got this idea in my head that being good at public
speaking was my talent either had or didn’t have. Sure, I know that anything can be
improved with practice, but in my head, if you didn’t have a natural-born talent for it,
no amount of practice could get you to the level of people who were naturally good at
addressing crowds. Thankfully, I can now say with confidence that I was so wrong.
My public speaking skills have improved somehow since our ILS and my strand is
connected in servicing people. Travelling to so many fascinating places inspired me
and made me hungry to learn more. The drive to discover new things is an important
quality. So as I act like a tour guide I learned many skills but I’m sure probably the
most critical was leadership because the sense of responsibility. Now, I understand
that guiding tourists in near future is like running a business. You have to be brave,
clear minded and anticipate what’s around the corner. When I act as a tour guide, I
never guessed how it would shape as a person and as a leader. So now I try to stay
open and ready to learn, because one never knows how a seemingly random
experience might have a lasting impact.
