The Test

TOS stands for Specification table is a useful tool for ensuring that a test or assessment measures the content and thinking skills
that the test intends to measure. So, when used appropriately, it can provide response content and construction (that is, response
processes) with evidence of validity. The author conducted a TOS before constructs the test. The table of specification below includes

C. Saran

G. Item Analysis
In analyzing the result of test, the test-maker has two ways to analyze the difficulty and the discrimination of a test. First, item
difficulty analysis that deals with the measurement of the test-taker. Second, the item discrimination that is used by using upper and
lower group on the measurement.

Index item difficulty

0.00 – 0.25 = very difficult
0.26 – 0.75 = moderately difficult
0.76 – 1.00 = very easy

Index item discrimination

0.40 and up = very good
0.30 – 0.39 = good
0.20 – 0.29 = marginal items
Below 0.19 = poor
Based on data, the result numbers 1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 18, 19, 20 and 25 have poor item discrimination. For the item difficulty there
are many question that categories in very easy, they are number 2, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14, and 19.

H. Conclusion

In conclusion, Language Assessment and Testing Development is course that is used to provide knowledge on how to make a good test for
students. There are several factors that determine whether the test is ready or not. To ensure that the test is valid, the test maker can consult the
test with experts. Another way is to conduct test trials to participants to find out whether the test items are good and valid and reliable. In fact,
there are also several factors that make the test invalid. These factors can be caused by the lack of participants, differences in the ability of
participants, or the choice of words in the text or test sentences, the delivery of material by the teacher.
