1. Write Simple/Compound/Complex/Compound Complex Sentences of the sentences (30 points)
a. I forgot my jacket, so I stayed inside at recess
b. My best friend has cried every night because she misses me
c. The tiny dog and her owner went on a walk, but they quickly got tired.
d. These students are best friends, and they plan to go to college together.
e. As she was stretching to place a bag on the shelf, the ladder collapsed from under her
and she fell to the ground

2. Choose one topic and state your agreement/disagreement about this topic in
argumentative paragraph (150 words), support with your reasonable reasons (35
points)
• Society needs rules and regulations; otherwise, things get out of control
• Online class has more advantages than disadvantages
• Not all adults are mature enough to decide what is good for them
• Children need protection from violent scene, pornography, etc

3. Here are some cases of accident that happened in a company: (35 point)
- On April 5, 2021: A worker was using a miter saw to cut some timber, suddenly the saw
come down to his hand and he lost a lot of blood.
- On May 22, 2021: a worker was stacking shelves while standing on a ladder in order to
reach the top shelf of handbags at 4.10pm.
Choose one of case and write a report of the accident above by telling the chorological
process and how to handle it.
