Often times, when we hold discussions on making a
difference, we tend not to really talk in-depth on one of

 Wellbeing Awareness Day
29th August, 2021

The Well-being awareness event was organized

by the Youth Department in collaboration with the
Paris Family Women’s Group. It took place at the
Parc des Sports Interdépartemental de Bobigny
on the 29th of August, 2021. The aim of this
programme was to create awareness on physical
well-being as well as the importance of a healthy
lifestyle.
Solomon Elechi, The activities featured at the event were - body
exercises – stretching, jogging, running, Squats,
Fitness Coach
Abdominal crunches, situps, crunch, lunge, push-
ups, football and table tennis.
The fitness programme was coordinated by
Solomon Elechi, a member of the Youth Executive
and a fitness coach.

 National Day
3rd October, 2021

The National Day event was first held on the 4th of

October, 2020. The event is to commemorate
Nigeria's Independence Day and also a means of
promoting and celebrating our heritage.
The 2021 National Day was enriched with various
cultural display notably the traditional attires of
some ethnicities in Nigeria. These Ethnicities were
majorly Western, Eastern, South-Eastern, and South-
South regions.

We live in an age where everything seems
to be exposed before time. In the same
sense, its good to be aware, but
awareness is not a permission to practice
what you know.
As Young youths are mostly challenged in
their studies and in many areas of their
lives where they might not be mature
enough to decide or what will be the
consequences if certain things are done
earlier before time.
As a Christian youth you need to be
focused and move towards your goals.
• Fear of tomorrow •
One of the challenges we can expose
more today is fear.
Fear is an emotion and it comes based on
the situation.
Fear is a kind of speed bump which
comes on our way unexpected and it can
bring stagnation or lower your speed and
fear always engages results - what will
happen after or what will happen
tomorrow. Fear of what if it doesn't work.
I remember meeting up with someone
who was complaining that we should not
go into this field because its not so
beneficial now. have you ever met such
people in your life who can bring fear
with a single word and say words of
discouragment knowing or unknowingly
and if someone has said to you that it will
not work, there is nothing in this field, God
name, someone can say to you or have said it
many doctors were not able to make or many

faith trust in the Lord and the Lord will make every

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips;
meditate on it day and night, so that you may be
careful to do everything written in it. Then you will
be prosperous and successful.
This is the word of God and if you meditate and
follow it and believe is says you will be prosperous
and successful. Even young youths trusted in the
Lord in the Bible like Joseph stood on the word of
God followed it saw dreams no one believed and
maybe you have dreams but no one is believing
you dont need approvals of men if God has
approved and given you dreams just like Joseph
you own might reject you dont worry its your
dream Walk carefully faithfully with God and he
will take you at the right place you deserve.
Conclusion: Joseph could had taken an easy step
to come out from his situation easily when
Potiphar's wife accused him but he trusted the
Lord and walked carefully didn't compromised to
solve the problem could have slept with her to
avoid the accusation and finally prison but he
stood on the truth and God honoured him.
As youth no matter what the challenges don't fear
, the Lord will make a way for you.

 Movie Title: Freshman Year
23rd October, 2021

The Movie Night event was held on the 23rd of

October, from 3pm - 6pm and featured other
activities like Music, Prayers, and discussions.
Freshman Year is a story of a preacher’s son CJ
whose path intertwines with Marcella, a
cheerleader and the first in her family to attend
college. CJ and Marcella both leave their sheltered
homes and different backgrounds, to face the real
world of battling peer pressure, and falling in love.
Their freshman year takes a different turn, when a
life-altering decision threatens to halt their dreams
and disappoint their families.
This film shows the fun, freedom, and friendships of
college life. The movie reveals real-life scenarios
facing students, and the challenges they encounter
when standing up for their faith.

The Online bible Series was a 5 week bible study plan that commenced on 10th November and
ended on 15th November. It was designed to give foundational biblical knowledge to the youths,
but most especially the teens. The initiative was to address an underlining problem within the
Teenage and Youth Departments. This issue was essentially the lack of basic knowledge of the
bible.
The study series was conducted by Deacon Kenny have and the topics treated were:
Basic knowledge of the old and New Testament and their authors
Basic knowledge of the Prophets and the Apostles
Key biblical stories and their lessons
The parables of Jesus and their meanings
Understanding The beatitudes
Understanding the concept of the Trinity

 What is the Media as we know it today?
The term media, plural of medium, refers to the
communication channels through which we
disseminate news, information and other data. It
could be through newspapers, billboards,
television, radio, telephone or the Internet.
As believers, our main charge as found in Mark
15:16 which says;
_And He said to them, “Go into all the world and
preach the gospel to all creation._

The media when used appropriately in sharing the
gospel is such a powerful tool for evangelism and
missions to reach the unsaved and also to
encourage even believers.

It’s one of those beautifully captivating
moments for the church. Everyone is
focused on God, turning their words into
prayers and completely humbling
themselves before God . This is real
worship. The songs finish, and everyone sits
back down, again with some shuffling and
whispering. Churches and Christians of
late have tried hard to redefine the word
and the idea of ‘worship'. When you hear
'worship service,' it almost always means
singing. When someone says , “The church
has great worship song,” you know that
means he likes the songs. I have even

Redefining Worship
heard someone say, after a time of singing session in
a service, that now it was time for the message, but
we would worship some more later. No! That’s not all
worship is. Singing is certainly a form of worship, but
worship doesn’t end there. The Bible gives a
satisfyingly view of worship.
It does describe singing as an act of worship,
though. In fact, that’s probably the most often
mentioned act of worship in the Bible. “Sing praise
to the Lord, you saints of His, and give thanks at the
remembrance of His holy name.” – Psalm 30:4
Worship is when we give ourselves over to God, to
use as He sees best, ignoring our own selfish
ambitions and our own comfort. God is worshipped
when we are fully, sacrificially obedient. Oh, worship
the Lord in the beauty of holiness! Tremble before
Him, all the earth. (Psalm 96:9)
It is important to remember that worship of an
Almighty God involves trembling. None of the
acts that we go through, whether that’s singing,
hearing a message, telling others about God, or
even obedience, are worship if our hearts are not in
the right place, in humble adoration of God.
But when we are in that right mindset, what beautiful
worship that is.

 END OF THE YEAR PROGRAMME / GIFT
EXCHANGE

The annual end of the year programme took place this year on the 11th of December,
2021. The Programme was conducted alongside the Gift Exchange Programme which is
primarily an exchange of gift between members of the Department who are paired up
in a draw prior to the day.

This year's programme included a review of all departmental activities, series of

discussions, ministration in songs, games, gift exchanges between over 20 people and a
love feast.

 TESTIMONIES

I wish to thank God for saving my dad from a

ghastly motor accident on 12th November
2021.
My dad was on his way to Nigeria from
Cotonou, Republic of Benin. The Journey was at
night. While, on their way, his driver was on
high speed as well as the trailer right in front
of them.
However, all of a sudden the trailer in front
stopped abruptly without any sign whatsoever
and due to the abruptness of the trailer, my
dad's driver couldn't control the situation
hence, he drove right under the trailer. The
crash was so terrible that the car, from its front
to the rear, got terribly damaged, but I am
thanking God that nothing happened to my
dad.

Here briefly is what happened to me on the

24th of August. Around evening, I was driving
in my area and few minutes into my driving, I
realized other vehicles were distant from me
and were giving signs to get out of my car. Due
to them drawing my attention to what was
going on that I didn't notice, I then discovered
fire around my car .
Immediately I noticed that, I stopped the car,
ran out and few seconds after I ran out of the
car, it exploded.
I wish to appreciated God for my life. I would
have probably lost my life that day or be in a
very severe condition.
