In my family, we celebrate Christmas over several days with traditions of exchanging gifts, eating meals together, playing games, and visiting extended family. On December 23rd, gifts are exchanged at home followed by breakfast and visiting my mother's parents for lunch, games, and more gifts. We then go to my father's parents' home where more relatives have gathered for dinner, opening more presents, and playing card games like canasta that are a family tradition. Over the next few days, we typically visit other extended family like my dad's aunt to continue celebrating with more gifts, talking, and games. I enjoy how our Christmas brings so much family together over the holidays.

In my family, we celebrate Christmas in a unique way.
On the 23rd of December, we wake up and give everybody gifts at home. There were my parents and my sisters were. After that, we eat breakfast and get ready to go to Szekszárd. Then we go to my mother’s parents to eat lunch and rest a little bit. We usually play some board games and talk about a lot of things. After that, we give our presents to each other. That could be sometimes funny because we love the gifts and my youngest sister sometimes make a high pitched sound when she is happy and it’s really funny. Of course, my grandmother is very happy when we are there and celebrate something with them. And the lunch is always very delicious what we love. After that, we go to my dad’s parents flat where my uncle, his wife and my cousins are. This is much more like a loud Christmas, but I love it. We eat dinner first and then open the presents. I like when my cousins got a lot of games or toys and we need to open that right at that moment because they want to try them. It is funny. After that, we always play card games. We love playing canasta. It is our family tradition that we always play that when my dad’s family got together. After two or three days we usually go to my dad’s aunt house. There we are, open presents, talked (a lot) and played canasta. Sometimes we go to Budapest with my mother’s aunt and my cousins but that time is sadly not in every year. I love the way how we celebrate this celebration.
