Odessa is one of the most wonderful cities which attracts holiday–makers all over

the country. It is situated in the south-western part of Ukraine and stands on a
shallow indentation of the Black Sea coast. It is not only the country's largest
commercial Black Sea port and a large industrial city but also a resort center of the
Northern Black Sea region.
Odessa is a green and forever young city. Here, every street is decorated with oaks,
maples, acacias, flowers. When the buds of the trees begin to blossom, the city
comes alive. If you go out of town to isolated terrain you can see wooded areas.
There are breathtaking view of the sea and clean air. There are a large number of
estuaries on the coast (the largest are Kuyalnitsky and Khadzhibey)
Odessa is famous for its beaches. The southern beaches are less crowded and more
picturesque than the northern ones. The Arkadia area is the most popular and has
lots of restaurants and activities. in addition to the large number of beaches, there
are many historic buildings and attractions that everybody should visit. The main
architectural attractions of the city are the Theater Square, the Holy Assumption
Cathedral, the House of Scientists, and others. If you are fond of history and
culture, then you should definitely visit Odessa museums. Several of the city's fine
museums are the Museum of Maritime History, the Literature Museum, the
Pushkin Museum, the Museum of Western and Oriental Art and others.
Many trips and tours around the Odessa region are offered. I would advise you to
go to a rather isolated region with wild nature to take a break from the noisy city.
This is the village of Sanzheyko, a place with an incredible landscape . You can get
to this place in an hour by bus or car.
