PAST SIMPLE AND CONTINUOUS III

1.- Complete the sentences with the past simple or past continuous form of the
verbs in brackets:
 When Sam (arrive), I (do) my homework.
 We (have) a party when the neighbours (phone)
the police.
 Paul (not listen) when the teacher (explain)
the exercise.
 What (you, do) when you (see) the
robbery?
 I (not see) David Beckham while he

2.- Complete the text. Use the past simple form of the verbs in brackets:
Brian Ingram (be) on holiday with his family when he (find)
$5,800 next to the river. He (not keep) the money. He
(take) it to the police station when he (get) home.
Brian and his parents (not know) the story of Dan Cooper. But
the police (check) the numbers on the banknotes, and they
(discover) that the money was from the hijacking.
Six years later, the FBI (give) Brian 2, 760 as a reward. But he

bank.
