f) Find the simple interest on 2750 at 5% per annum for 6 years.
g) Find the perimeter of a triangle whose sides are 70 cm , 1.2 m and 10 cm.
h) The sum of two consecutive integers is 45. Find the integers.

a) A rectangle has the same area as that of a square of length 10 m . If the breadth of
the rectangle is 8 m , find the perimeter of the rectangle.
b) A girl is 5 years younger than her brother. If the sum of their ages is 23 years, find the
ages of the boy and the girl.
c) If a = 2, b = −1 and c = 4 then find the value of a2+ b2 +c2− bc – ca – ab.

a) Sania bought a silk dress for 850 and sold it for 765. Find her profit or loss percent.
b) Simplify: 121 + 25

c) Find the greatest number that will divide 127, 175 and 271 leaving the remainder 7 in
each case.

c) Find the H.C.F. of 256, 940 and 442 by division method

a) Find the angles of a triangle which are in the ratio 2: 3: 4.
b) Solve for x : 3 (5x – 2) – 4 (x + 4) = 7 (x – 1) + 1
c) In how many years will 1250 amount to 1950 at the rate of interest of 8% p.a. ?

a) The LCM and HCF of two numbers are 252 and 6 respectively. If one of the numbers is 42,
find the other number.
b) The measures of two angles of a triangle are 72º and 58°. Find the third angle. Name
the type of triangle thus formed.
c) If p = −2, q = −1 and r = 3, find the value of p – q – r.

a) Solve for x: 6(x + 3) + 2(4 – x) = 5x


b) The perimeter of a rectangular sheet is 100 cm. If the length is 35 cm, find its breadth.
Also, find the area.

c) By selling a refrigerator for a price 23520 , a dealer suffers a loss of 4%. What is the
cost price of the refrigerator ? At what price should he sell it to gain 8% ?

a) The length of a garden is three times its width. If the width is 45 m , find the cost of
surrounding it with a fence at 18 per metre.

circumference. Join PQ. What is it called? Now join OP and OQ. Shade the smaller
region. Name this smaller and bigger region thus formed.
