1. For balanced industrial growth in all regions in Tamil Nadu, 4 New
Industrial Estates will be established at Manapparai in
Tiruchirappalli District, Kaverirajapuram in Thiruvallur District,
Kodur in Chengalpattu District and Sakkimangalam in Madurai
District –in 394 acres at a total project cost of Rs.218.22 Crore by
TANSIDCO. These industrial estates will generate 7000 jobs.
2. Under New Entrepreneur cum Enterprise Development Scheme
(NEEDS), the minimum educational qualification required for getting
assistance under the Scheme will be relaxed as 12th standard and
maximum cap on the individual based capital subsidy will be
enhanced from Rs.50.00 lakhs to Rs.75.00 lakhs. Moreover, SC/
ST/ Differently abled entrepreneurs will be given 10% additional
capital subsidy.
3. With the State Government assistance and loan assistance of RIDF
Scheme of NABARD, 10 Industrial Cooperative Tea factories in the
Nilgiris District will be modernized at an estimated cost of Rs.50.06
Crores.
4. New Park for Sculptors will be established at Kadambadi Village,
Thirukalukundram Taluk, Chengalpattu District in 19 acres at a
project cost of Rs.23 Crore by TANSIDCO. This Sculptors Park will
generate direct employment for 100 artians and indirect
employment for 1000 persons.
5. Basic infrastructure facilities will be created at Arignar Anna
Industrial Cooperative Estate at Kittampalayam Village in
Coimbatore District at a cost of Rs.17.57 crore, with contribution of
society members, for the benefit of 585 new MSME units thus
creating 10,000 jobs.
6. One Private Industrial Park in Solavampalayam Village,
Kinathukadavu Taluk, Coimbatore District will be established by
COSIEMA (Coimbatore SIDCO Industrial Estate Manufacturers
Association) in 42.42 acres. Infrastructure facilities will be created
at a project cost of Rs.18.13 Crore with Government of Tamil Nadu
grant-in aid of Rs.9.06 Crore. This industrial estate will generate
1000 jobs.

7. Common Production Infrastructures (CPI) will be established by


TANSIDCO with Government of Tamil Nadu grant for 3 Clusters
namely Mould Cluster at Vellalur at a project cost of Rs.4.76 Crore
and Engineering Cluster at Madhukarai at a project cost of Rs.4.44
Crore in Coimbatore District and Safety Match Cluster at
Gudiyatham in Vellore District at a project cost of Rs.3.61 Crore.
These clusters will be assisted by Government of Tamil Nadu grant-
in-aid of Rs.7.50 Crore. 150 Micro entrepreneurs will be benefited.
8. The investment made in Measuring and Testing instruments by
MSMEs will be considered as eligible assets for computing capital
subsidy and capital subsidy will be extended accordingly.
9. The Traditional Micro and Small industries (viz Salt manufacturing,
Silver Anklet and Silver lamps, Brass products and vessels, Lock
manufacturing, silk and allied industries) in the State which are
under sickness will be brought under Thrust sector and special
capital subsidy will be extended to them.
10. 4 SAGOSERVE godowns will be modernized at a cost of Rs.45.05
crores by establishing conveyor and other infrastructure system.

11. To increase the capacity of the existing godowns of Sagoserve, a


new godown will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 40.00 crores with
an extent of 1.07 lakhs sq.ft..

12. For strengthening of business activities of the Branches of TAICO


Bank, 5 caratometers will be purchased in 5 branches and 4
branches will be modernized at a cost of Rs.82 Lakh.

For a Memorandum of Understanding between TAICO Bank and
Tamil Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation (TIIC) will be
executed, thus paving way for easy sanction of large number of
loans to MSMEs.
14. Necessary facilities will be enabled in the new procurement portal to
be developed to monitor 25% procurement preference extended to
Micro and Small enterprises as per Tamil Nadu Transparency in
Tender Rules, 2000.
15. Eight new Jeeps will be purchased at the cost of Rs.60.00 lakhs to
replace condemned old four wheelers for DICs at Chennai, Dindigul,
Karur, Pudukkottai, Thiruvannamalai, Theni, Kanniyakumari and The
Nilgiris districts.
16. Exclusive TANSI showroom cum sales centre will be established in
Chennai to market steel, wooden furniture and other products
manufactured by TANSI. Also, e-commerce online portal for sale of
TANSI products will be created.
17. Training programs of EDII, for entrepreneurs involved in Innovation,
UYEGP and NEEDS beneficiaries, will be digitized with a budget of
Rs.1 crore to impart the training through online mode.
18. Under TANSEED (Tamil Nadu Startup Seed Grant Fund) 50 startups
in Tamil Nadu will be funded with Rs.10 lakh grant each.
