BILLY BEAN

Guitar. Born in Philadelphia, December 26, 1933. Comes from a musical family. Father is a guitarist, mother plays piano and sister sings. Took private lessons 45-46 and again 51-52. After having
played around his home town he joined Charlie Ventura 55. Left him in January 58 to go to California. Played on the West Coast with Paul Horn, Buddy Collette, Buddy DeFranco and Calvin
Jackson. Toured with Les Elgart and Bud Shank. Excellent guitar player who couples technical abilities with fluent improvisations.
