Data on the status of a vehicle

CarData Element Description

Indicates maximum charging current for most recent charging process in
ampere (A) (only when charging with alternating current).
AC charging current² Values between 0 and 25 are possible. Both vehicle and charging station
could be individually charged with a certain maximum charging current. The
value displayed here is the greater of these two figures.
Indicates charging voltage for most recent charging process (only when
charging with alternating current).
AC charging voltage²
This value is usually in the range of 230 V; howeverowever, charging
voltages may range from 0 to 300.
Availability of
Indicates whether TeleService is available for this vehicle.
TeleService¹
Indicates current battery voltage in vehicle's electrical system. This value is
Battery voltage¹
always given in volt, e.g. 14.4 V.
Describes whether vehicle was charged with direct current (DC) or
alternating current (AC) and which charging plug was used for this purpose.
Charging method
The indicated technical value AC_TYPE1PLUG, for example, indicates that
and plug type²
the high-voltage battery was charged in alternating current mode, making
use of a charging plug of Type 1.
Charging profile Provides information about charging profile of vehicle that was configured
(remote)4 via app (remote).
Provides information about the charging mode most recently selected for
Charging profile2,6
vehicle.
Charging status of
Indicates the current vehicle charging status at time of data collection.
high-voltage battery²
Indicates current charging status of vehicle at time of data collection.
For example, NOCHARGING means that vehicle's high-voltage battery is
currently not being charged.
INITIALIZATION means that charging process is just being prepared, while
Charging status² CHARGINGACTIVE means that battery is just being charged.
Other possible values are:
CHARGINGPAUSED (charging paused),
CHARGINGENDED (charging ended) and
CHARGINGERROR (charging error).
Indicates a pre-defined time window in which high-voltage battery of
Charging window vehicle should be charged.
selection² Value could be either NOTCHOSEN or CHOSEN.

Data on vehicle’s TeleServices requests

CarData Element Description

Automatic Indicates time vehicle initiated an Automatic Service Call (ASC). With
TeleService Call¹ Automatic Service Call, the Teleservice data on the vehicle's service
requirements is sent automatically to the service center by BMW prior to
the service deadline. If possible, the service center will contact you to
arrange a service appointment. This way, the dealer’s service center can
plan the necessary work in advance. This shortens the duration of the
service appointment.
Battery Guard Call¹ Indicates time vehicle initiated a Battery Guard call. With Battery Guard, if
the battery charge state falls below certain values, BMW will inform you or
your dealer’s service center directly in defined cases or the next time the
vehicle is started. If necessary and possible, the dealer's service center will
contact you to arrange a service appointment.
