With the principle of individual differences in mind, what methods and strategies will you remember in the
future to ensure that you will be able to meet the needs of both the high and low achievers in your class?
List FIVE STRATEGIES on how to address the students’ different ability levels. Minimum of three

STRATEGY NO. 1: Use a variety of instructional and learning activities.


EXPLANATION: Offering variety of learning activities will provide pupils with opportunities to
learn and ways that are responsive to their own communication style,
cognitive styles and aptitude. We can assess learners with their differences
by providing variety of learning activities that will help them to identify which
best fits their interest. With these learning activities, it will become easy for
the teachers in order to classify the similarities and differences of both low
and high achievers.

STRATEGY NO. 2: Consider students' cultures and language skills.


EXPLANATION: When developing learning objectives and instructional activities, you can
take a related field trip to a cultural museum or even host a global fest in
your classroom. Field trip allow the students to encounter different places
and some interactive activities. Cultural museum provides students enough
information regarding a particular matter pertaining to history. The global fest
simply gives leaners basic information from different cultures, it also helps
the leaner starts to embrace cultural differences and respect each other’s
belief.

STRATEGY NO. 3: Incorporate objectives for effective and personal development.


EXPLANATION: Provide opportunities for high and low achievers to boost their self-esteem.
Most of the reasons why students didn’t excel in the classroom is because of
having low self-esteem, lack of motivations and lack of interest. Developing
positive attributes and enhance their strengths and talents will lead to a
better learning experience and learning outcomes.

STRATEGY NO. 4: Build rapport with your students.


EXPLANATION: Building a strong and comfortable relationship with students will enable them
to communicate well. Understanding their lives will enable you to increase
the relevance of lessons and make examples more meaningful. This also
helps students know how much you care and students don't care how much
you know until they know how much you care.
STRATEGY NO. 5: Appreciate and accommodate the similarities and differences among our
students.
EXPLANATION: Just like our students, teachers also need to regularly reflect on learning and
on how they made the students learned.. Valuing diversity, modelling
respect and cross-cultural understanding. Provide opportunities for a variety
of achievers and modifying their pathways to success.
