INTRODUCTION

Floor covering is a term to generally describe any finish

material applied over a floor structure to provide a
walking surface.
Flooring is the general term for a permanent covering of a
floor, or for the work of installing such a floor covering.
Both terms are used interchangeably but floor covering
refers more to loose-laid materials.
HARDWOOD FLOORING

Wood flooring is any product

for use as flooring, either

VINYL FLOORING

Vinyl flooring is extremely

durable and cost-effective.
It’s made from plastic,
usually consisting of
acrylic, PVC and similar
polymers. It's an economical
option for homeowners
looking for luxurious style
and durability, without the
high price point. Vinyl
flooring is available in
planks, sheets or tiles.
Since it is waterproof,
scratch- and stain-resistant
and commercial grade in
durability, vinyl flooring
is both functional and
stylish.
ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES

• Moisture resistant • Difficult to remove if glued down

• Low maintenance • Can be punctured with sharp
objects
• Can be used on cement, tile and
other flat sub floors • Not bio degradable
• Can show fading and discoloration
with excess UV exposure
TILE FLOORING

Tile flooring is
manufactured from various
materials such as clay,
stone, etc. Tile flooring is
perfect for high-moisture
rooms that have the
potential to get wet, like
bathrooms, kitchens, laundry
rooms and basements. Tiles
are versatile and can last
for many years with little
maintenance required.

install
CARPET FLOORING

Carpet is a soft floor

covering made of bound
carpet fibers or stapled
fibers. Carpeting refers to
wall-to-wall coverage,
whereas a rug is simply used
to cover a space.

LAMINATE FLOORING

• Laminate flooring (also called floating wood tile ) is a multi-

layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination
process. Laminate flooring simulates wood (or sometimes stone)
with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer.
The inner core layer is usually composed of melamine resin and
fiber board materials.
• A dense core or base layer of plywood or high-density fiberboard
to give the material strength and stability. This base is the same
one used in many of the best engineered wood flooring products.
• A high-resolution, photo-realistic image layer. Again, this image
layer usually mimics wood—but you can find stone-look and even
metal-look variants.
• A protective wear layer to provide hardness and protection. This
layer is extremely tough, making laminate one of the most durable
flooring options around.
ADVANTAGES DISADVANTAGES

• Budget friendly • Not authentic hardwood

• Easy to install • Prone to water damage
• Durable: • Warping Can Occur
• Scratch Resistant • If installed improperly
• Stain Resistant • If exposed to excessive moisture
• Moisture Resistant • If not acclimated properly
• Fade Resistant • Noisy if installed improperly
• Burn Resistant • Cannot be sanded or refinished
• 100% Recyclable
• Low maintenance
CORK

• Cork flooring is a product made from the

bark of the cork oak tree, a material which
is ground, processed into sheets and baked in
a kiln to produce tiles that serve as
flooring for offices, light commercial
locations, and residences.

Natural stone tiles have been used

for interior design purposes for a
very long time, and used to be the
material of choice for castles,
towers, and other ancient structures.
These tiles remain popular today due
to their ability to withstand wear
and tear while retaining their
aesthetics.
