1. Why is it important to get married in the Church? Explain your


answer. (10 points)

Answer : Because only a Church wedding ceremony is binding in the sight of God.
Remember, the church is the house of God and therefore it is sacred plus there’s a
witnesses inside that the couple making a promises to love each other as Husband
and wife. When a couple promised each other it made the contract binding and legal
in the eyes of God and of the church.

2. How is Christian Marriage described by the Church authorities?

Answer : The Church defines marriage as the most important part of human life. It
is the most important aspect of being a man in this world because marriage is a
covenant before God. Remember, in the bible were Jesus created man and women,
and if these two are joint together, they will become one flesh. Their marriage will
take place in the presence of family and friends who act as witnesses. This shows
that they are committed to each other. And their love is reflected by their “wedding
rings” which symbolize everlasting love. The bride may also wear a white wedding
dress. This is a symbol of her purity and respect for God.
3. Compare and contrast common Priesthood from Ministerial
Priesthood. (10 points)

Answer : The common Priesthood is where a person to be baptized as priest,


prophet, and King in the Catholic faith or in simple words, is they are called by God
to become the footsteps of Jesus. Their baptism symbolizes the acceptance of their
duty or mission to the world and that is to preach the good news to all. However,
the term “Ministerial Priesthood” is the one who received the ordinations and are the
one can administer the sacrament of a Holy Orders or to serve and preach to others.
And did you know that, the term “Ministerial Priesthood” is pictured from the male
common priesthood and is at the service of all the baptized. Take a look between
the two, that the duty of the common Priesthood is only to preach, while the
Ministerial priesthood is double, and that is to preach and serve to others.

4. Describe how a person is being incorporated to the order in the


Sacrament of Holy Order. (10 points)

Answer : The ordination of the sacrament of holy order has 3 different stages and
these are as follows ; (1st stage) — being ordained as deacon (2nd stage) — is being
ordained as priest, and the (3rd stage) — is being ordained as Bishop. This means,
that to perform the sacrament of Holy Order, one must to undertake first the 3 rites
and has therefore become a Bishop which the Bishop has only the authority to
perform the ordination of the sacrament of Holy Orders which the Bishop lays his
hands on the candidate. Ordination is the process of given a man of certain power
or authority, and after receiving it, is he has now the power or authority to perform
the sacrament of holy orders, including passing on God’s forgiveness of sins.
