c. well-written such that it is free from errors in spelling and grammar.

1. Teacher Ella refuses to use the Google Scholar as a valuable source of enriching her lesson. This is because of her belief in
the superiority of textbooks over the Internet as a source of knowledge. In this case, is Teacher Ella developing her competency
along the domain content knowledge and pedagogy? Why? 5 points
2. Mrs. Santiago, a secondary school principal, directed her three teachers through a memorandum to decorate her house that will
be used as reception for the wedding of her daughter. However, the teachers resisted. In effect, Mrs. Santiago got angry. Is the
resistance of the teachers to the job right? Why? 5 points
3. A learner boxed his teacher after receiving a failing mark in mathematics. The act was done in the market where the two met.
Can the learner claim that the act was not disrespect of “persons in authority” because the teacher was not inside the school
and was not also doing an actual professional duty? Why? 5 points
4. The Masisit Cooperative requested the President of a state university to deduct Php 10,000.00 that a teacher of this institution
borrowed and has never paid for 2 years. The president authorized the cashier to deduct the same. Is the authorization of the
president to the cashier legal? Why? 5 points
5. A teacher deducted 10 points from the result of the prelim test scores of two (2) learners for failing to attend the intramurals
where the principal directed all teachers to strictly check the attendance of their advisory class. The learners complained that
the deduction is unfair. Are the learners correct in their claim? Why? 5 points
6. Teacher Zarylle published a research paper produced by her learners in Thesis Writing 1. When a colleague contested the
ownership, she argued that she conceptualized the research and advised the learners on how to write the research paper. The
research would not have been completed without her assistance. Was Teacher Zarylle right in her claim of sole ownership of
the paper? Why? 5 points
7. Teacher Irene has a printing business specifically for t-shirts. The school wanted to have an organizational t-shirt to be worn
during the founding anniversary celebration. She offered incentive to the student leaders that in the event she will supply the
needed t-shirts, the student body as an organization shall be given P 10.00 per t-shirt as a proceed. The student leaders
accepted the offer but the teacher was accused of undue influence to the decision of the organization. Is the accusation right? 5

8. Which is a better indicator of quality education, having two national topnotchers with 82% institutional passing rate in the
Licensure Examination for Teachers or having 100% institutional passing rate without national topnotchers? Why? 5 points
9. Angelo was denied of enrollment at Apayao State College (ASC) on the basis that his grade does not satisfy the high school
average grade required by the course he intends to enroll. He questioned the policy considering that ASC as a state-owned
institution must cater to the educational needs of the public, particularly the poor and marginalized. Moreover, he argued that
his denial is a violation of the Constitutional provision of making education accessible to all. Is the claim of the Angelo tenable?

10. Tony, 10 years old, was not sent by his parents to school even when he has reached school age. He sought the help of the
court on the grounds that elementary education is compulsory for all children of school age. Is the denial of his elementary
education wrong? Why? 5 points
11. Saint Luke University is a privately owned tertiary institution. All the employees and learners are Filipinos and sixty percent of
its shares of stock are owned by an Indian national. Is the existence of the school constitutional? Why? 5 points
12. Carl is a master’s degree graduate from University X. He was discovered to have copied a thesis from another university
abroad. In effect, University X withdrew the degree bestowed upon him. He disputed the decision inasmuch as the degree has
already been conferred. To his opinion, the act is already moot and academic. Is the act of the institution justifiable? Why? 5

13. Trisha is a third-year nursing student from a catholic university who was denied enrollment because she joined a Bikini contest.
The Student Manual declares that joining such contest is an offense with the corresponding penalty of expulsion. Trisha
contested the validity of the disciplinary action on two grounds. First, she never identified her school during the contest.
Second, the activity was beyond the concern of the school, inasmuch as it was done during a semestral break and that she was
not in contract with the school in that period. Is the argument of Trisha tenable? Why? 5 points
14. Jose, a high school learner, aged 21, left the class without asking permission from his teacher. On his way home, he met an
accident causing internal hemorrhage in his brain and bruises all over his body. The parents accused his teacher, Miss Dy, for
her negligence. However, Miss Dy argued that she is not liable for the accident because Jose is of reasonable age and that he
escaped purposely from her class. In your opinion, whose claim is valid? Why? 5 points
15. If Lydia de Vega, a retired athlete and hailed as Asia’s fastest female runner in the 1980s will consider teaching in the sports
track of the senior high school, what teaching license can she use in her application? Why? 5 points
