ALL INDIA UNDER GRADUATE QUIZ IN BIOCHEMISTRY

It all started in year 2012, when we conducted first Biochemistry quiz for I MBBS students from
various medical colleges from Mumbai. In 2014, we expanded it to a Maharashtra state level
competition. Last year we thought it difficult to administer the quiz due to COVID pandemic.
However we converted this challenge into opportunity & conducted first online State level quiz. This
gave us confidence to conduct this activity at a much higher scale. Herewith announcing “All India
under graduate quiz in biochemistry”

A. QUIZ SCHEDULE: DATE:

B. WHO CAN PARTICIPATE: First MBBS students of Admission Year 2020 (II CBME
batch) from Medical Colleges from India.
C. HOW TO PARTICIPATE: Each college has to send the names of three students per team,
with their details in a Google form. Simultaneously they also have to submit the enclosed
form along with signature & seal of Head of the Department & mail it to
ltmmcbiochemquiz@gmail.com on or before 31.12.2021. One college can send maximum
two teams.In case of two teams, please mention, team no in the given form.
D. OVERALL FORMAT OF THE QUIZ:

Quiz will be conducted in two rounds –Screening rounds & Final crowning round.

a. Screening round :
a. Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Questions of single response type
b. Duration: 10 minutes
c. Participation: All students to participate individually
d. Scoring: Scores of top two students from each team will be added to get a team
score. Third student of the team automatically gets out of the competition.
e. Exchange of students from one team to another of the same/different college is
not permitted.
f. Top 6 teams will be selected for “Final crowning round”

b. Final Crowning Round:

a. Participation: Both the students should be physically present at one place &
should login as a team. Individual logins are not permitted for final round.
b. Types of Questions: We would try to restrict to the given format. However we
reserve the right to modify it at last minute without any notice.
i. Brief answer questions: Enumerate & justification type
ii. Multiple True/ False
iii. Assertion/Reason type

Students should ensure that they have good and robust internet connectivity in order to
ensure smooth participation in the quiz. The organizers will not be responsible for loss of
marks/ inability to participate due to poor connectivity at participantsend.All participants
should download Zoom app in advance.
