Somewhere • Ask students to share about times they went for
a walk in a park or a new place. • Read back through the book and point out all of the adjectives. Make a list of these and ask students to use them to describe something they can see in the classroom. • Take a walk around the school and ask students to keep an eye out for interesting things. When you’re back in the classroom, have them use an adjective to describe at least one interesting thing they saw. • Explain that the illustrator of the book creates his pictures using watercolor paints. Provide watercolors and have students illustrate a fantastical new place they would like to explore.
