In this chapter, we will be doing the Competitor’s Analysis of L&T with its competitors.

The competitor Analysis will be done by using SWOT (Strength, Weakness,


Opportunity and Threat) Framework. The competitor of L&T whose SWOT Analysis
will be done are Shapoorji Pallonji and GMR. First, the analysis of L&T will done and
afterwards, SWOT analysis of Shapoorji Pallonji and GMR will be done. At the end, a
comparative analysis of the same has been mentioned.

As we compare the SWOT analysis of L&T, Shapoorji Pallonji and GMR, we find that
the L&T has an advantage being huge brand equity and vast experience in its domain.
While on the other hand, Shapoorji Pallonji has also a good brand equity but lacks on the
side of taking new complex projects and its low market share. GMR while has mainly
focused on aviation sector only for its growth, it should diverse into different verticals to
grow itself at a good pace.
