Dear DAL group,

I am submitting my documents to join the DAL group organization to develop plant breeding
at DAL group and develop my carrier. My career in Agriculture started from:
[1] Higher education and career in Sudan
I have perused my interest in agriculture by joining the Faculty of Agricultural Science of
Gezira University, Sudan, majoring in Crop Science and receiving a B.Sc. Honors degree
(2011). Thereafter, I joined the Agricultural Research Corporation (ARC), the largest national
research corporation in Sudan, and one of the oldest research institutes in Africa and the
Middle-East.
My career as a research Assistant Scientist on the Wheat Research Program of the ARC has
provided me with excellent opportunities to be trained internationally with top worldwide
leading research centers such as the International Maize and Wheat Improvement Center
(CIMMYT), and the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas
(ICARDA), where I have been extensively trained on wheat improvement and crop physiology,
respectively. Nationally, the ARC has offered me unlimited opportunities to interact and
exchange with leading scientists during national workshops, conferences, training courses and
daily career activities.
[2] Master and doctoral courses in wheat molecular breeding in Tottori University, Japan
The Arid Land Research Center (ALRC) of Tottori University (TU) and the ARC of Sudan
have being enjoying close partnership collaborating on agricultural joint-research in general,
and wheat improvement research. Through this fruitful partnership, I have joined the Graduate
School of Agriculture, The Courses of global arid land Sciences and global dryland sciences,
to master the art-of-science molecular breeding technologies on wheat improvement under the
kind supervision of Professor Tsujimoto Hisashi in the Molecular Breeding Laboratory of the
International Platform for Dryland Research and Education (IPDRE).
My master and doctoral course studies have focused on defining suitable wheat diversity to
overcome the major environmental critical challenges facing wheat production in Africa, which
has always been constrained by the hot and dry environment. The way to greater wheat
production in Sudan must potentially be achieved through the cultivation of unique and
adaptable wheat cultivars.
I hope that I meet your interest to be one of the DAL group staff and achieve great goals.
