Admission Procedure for Direct Admission Courses – 2011-2012


1. The provision of Direct Admission based on the merit of qualifying examination, is
applicable to few courses. The admission will be made strictly on the basis of the merit of
qualifying examination. i.e. merit of 10+2 examination with requisite subjects for
admission to Bachelor program and merit of Bachelor Degree examination with requisite
subject for admission to P.G. programme.

2. The candidate shall submit a separate application form for admission to these courses to
the University by the prescribed date.

3. The candidate appearing in the qualifying examination / awaiting result may also apply
for admission. However they will be considered for provisional admission only.

4. The order of merit will be based strictly on marks obtained by the candidate in the
qualifying examination.

5. While preparing the Merit, additional weightage of 15% of the marks obtained by the
candidate in the qualifying examination will be given to students of Bundlekhand
University, applying for PG courses and students who passed their 10+2 examination
from intermediate colleges located in district Jhansi, Banda, Chitrakoot, Mohoba, Jalaun,
Hamirpur and Lalitpur if applying for Undergraduate Courses.

6. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC/Physically Handicapped/ Female Candidate/


Defence Candidates in each course will be as per University / U.P. Govt. rules.

7. The admission to courses under SFS scheme will be as per norms laid down by the Govt.
of U.P.

8. Reservation will not be applicable in NRI category students.

9. Detail information on courses is available on university website www.bujhansi.org The


form can be downloaded from the University website. Complete application Form
alongwith the prescribed fee and attested copies of marks obtained in the qualifying
examination will be submitted to the Convener, Admission Cell, Bundelkhand
University, Kanpur Road, Jhansi – 284 128. U.P.

10. Merit List – The Merit List of the candidates for admission to different courses shall be
made on the basis of their performance in the qualifying examination. In case, if two
candidates have exactly same marks in qualifying examination, the preference will be
given to the candidate who is older in age.
11. Counseling – Merit list prepared on the basis of the merit of qualifying examination shall
be displayed on Notice Boards of the concerned departments on the prescribed date.
Selected candidates will be informed by post for their counseling. The list of candidates
selected for counseling shall also be notified on the website of the University.

12. htpp://www.bujhansi.org – The counseling is aimed at providing relevant information to


the candidate about the courses curriculum as well as the career opportunities available in
the prospective fields. The panel of counselors will also help the candidate in selecting
the right courses according to their interest and aptitude.

13. Admission Fee – Selected candidates shall have to deposit the total fee for one year at the
time of admission. There is no provision of paying the fee in installments. Therefore,
candidates are required to bring the prescribed admission fee on the day of counseling
and deposit the same if admitted. If a candidate fails to deposit the fee on the date of
admission, the opportunity will be given to the next candidate in the merit.

Fee for Direct Admission (2011-2012)

¾ Rs. 500/- for General and OBC candidates.


¾ Rs. 250/- for SC/ST candidates.
