1. The aim of this book review is to have a comprehensive guide regarding Military
aviation. The author has explains his ideas about the development of airplanes based on
creatures in nature.

2. The author of this book is Clement Ader. He was born on 02 April 1841 in France.
Ader interests in aviation grew out of a fascination with birds and bats, as well as from the
influence of his father's trade as a craftsman. He has try to experiments of designing of flying
machine at his childhood.

3. This book has been edited and translated by Lee Kennett in year 2003. The author has
given a well-structured booklet to his readers. The details of this book were based on author’s
own experience and knowledge. There are seven chapters in this book and the author try to
embellish his writing skill and paragraphs by using relevant charts and figures for easy
understand to the readers.

4. First two chapters of this book discussed how to design and construction of an
airplane and the technical arrangement of the preparation of airplane. In the middle part of the
chapters he has used airplane landing technique on ground or on water. Further, he has
explained about the mobile bases, naval air planes, bombing and air plane take off
techniques.

5. In the latter part of the chapters he has done the same thing which mentioned the
characteristics of the airplane and details about school of aviation, airplane designing and
construction.

6. The author has not inserted graphical images in to this book. Hence, the reader is not
able to get attraction clearly to this book. That is a negative criticism regarding the author.
This book is consisted with 90 pages and paperback bind. He has put his experience and
exposure together to gain knowledge for readers. This book is recommended to any
servicemen who wish to study about Military Aviation.
