BACKGROUND OF CHRISTIANITY
Christianity originated with the ministry of Jesus, a Jewish teacher and healer who proclaimed
the imminent kingdom of God and was crucified the followers believe the, according to the
gospels, he was the son of God and that he died for the forgiveness of sins and was raised from
the dead and exacted by god. The earliest follower of Jesus was apocalyptic Jewish Christian.
The inclusion of gentiles in the developing early Christian church caused a schism between
Judaism and Jewish Christianity during the first centuries of the Christian Era, in the early
middle ages missionary activities spread Christianity towards the west among German peoples.
during the high middle ages, eastern and western Christianity grew apart, leading to the east west
schism of 1054. Growing critics of the roman catholic ecclesiological structure and its behavior
led to the protestant movement of the lth century and the split of western. Christianity since the
renaissance era, with colonialism inspired by the church, Christianity has expanded throughout
the world.

ACCOMPLISMENT OF CHRISTIANITY
Christians have made a myriad contribution to human progress in a broad and diverse range of
fields, both historically and in modern times, including the science and technology, medicine,
fine arts and architecture, politics, literatures, Music, philanthropy, philosophy, ethics, theatre
and business.

FUTURE PLANS FOR HUMANITARIAN ASSISTANCE

Aid provides urgent, practical and effective assistance where need is great, tackling the effects of
poverty as well as its root causes. Christian Aid has programs working on topics as diverse as
emergency response, accountability, peace-building, health, land rights, tax justice and helping
communities adapt to climate change.
