What is US recruiting.

US recruiter is like a HR. Our Job is to place consultants in United states. We have to find candidates in
job boards. (Job Boards means Like we have naukri and all…in US we have DICE, MONSTER, Career
Builder, HOT JOBS and Corp2corp) . We have to screen them according to the requirement. We will get
the requirement from the client to the manger and the manager will forward it (Screening means we
need to talk to the candidate and check if he is a perfect match for the requirement, then should see
where he is located and when he is ready to take a new project and about rate.We need to negotiate the
rate with him..) and get a rate confirmation from him. and Submit the resume with all the details to the
manager. (THIS IS WHAT A RECRUITER DOES).




NOW COMING TO VISAS THIS IS THE MAIN PART OF RECRUITING:

Types of Visas:

US Citizen, Green card ,EAD and H1 ,F1 , OPT ,L1 AND MORE we should be concerned with only US
Citizen, Green card ,EAD and H1 ,F1 , OPT

1. TAX TERMS WORK BASIS: W2, 1099, C2C (IMPORTANT)

IN US TAX SHOULD BE PAID EVERY MONTH BY ANYONE WHO IS WORKING)

THERE ARE 3 TYPES OF TAX TERMS:

W2 basis: Tax will be paid by the client (WHO HIRES THE CANDIDAITE)

1099 Basis: Tax will be paid by Candidate himself.

C2C Basis: Tax will be paid by employer of the candidate.

2. US citizen will work on permanent, Contract to hire, Contract positions

GC can work on permanent, Contract to hire, Contract positions

EAD can work on permanent, Contract to hire, Contract positions

H1 can work on contract positions only.

US citizens can work on mainly – w2 or 1099, C2C basis

GC can work only on mainly on w2 or 1099, C2C basis

EAD can work only on mainly on w2 or 1099, C2C basis

H1 can only work on C2C

3) EAD : candidates who are in the process to get their GC visa after completion of H1   will have a
period of 6 months that period is called EAD…..

Prime vendor: Direct Vendor to the client

Implementation Partner: Who implements the projects (CSC, Infosys, TCS, HCL)

5) What do you do as soon as you get the requirement?

AS soon as I get the requirement…. I go through the requirement and look for main skills what the client
is looking for……Then go the job boards and do a Boolean search…. As soon get a matching resumes I
go ahead and call them screen him and negotiate the rate…. And ask for the updated resume,
availability, location, best contact number and submit him to the client.
