Team Work- How to be a Team Player

What is Team?
A team is a group of people, all working together for a common purpose.
What is Teamwork?
It is a combined efforts or the actions of a group to achieve a common purpose or goal.

What are the characteristics of Good Team Player?

• Active Listener: One should be Active Listener. We should listen what other members say in
team. Ask questions about things you don’t understand.
• Communication: You should always communicate along with your group to guarantee that
everybody is working towards the same objective.
• Time Management: One should prioritize the work. Remember the deadline and schedule
accordingly. Always be on time on your work or meetings.
• Decision Making: There are few steps in decision making-
1. Classifying and Defining the problem.
2. Finding the solution to the problem.
3. In order to meet the boundry conditions, deciding what is “Right”.
4. To carry out action decision should be made.
• Problem Solving Skills: It is one of the basic skills required in each and every team
member. One should take appropriate action when problem arises.
