INSTALLATION PROCEDURE FOR NDA 12-16

RESCUE BOAT DAVIT.

1. Check all equipment for brakes or damages.

2. Check winch, el. cabinet, wire, outfitting and davit structure for damages:
3. Check every item against packing list.
4. Weld footprints for frame to deck according to supplied driving. (Foot prints can be
welded installed on A-frame if painted areas are covered, and firm tack welding is
done.)
5. Weld cylinder footprint to deck.
6. Install cylinder. (Picture 1)

7. Install power unit, 4x M16 galvanised bolts. (Picture2) Connect hydraulic hoses to
cylinder; hoses are marked according to fittings on valve.

8. Install winch, 4xM12 galvanised bolts w/double nuts. Connect hydraulic hoses from
power unit to winch; hoses are marked. (Picture 3)

9. Connect inductive sensor IS1 and solenoid on winch MV6. (Picture 3)

10. Adjust position on sensor IS1. (Picture 4)

11. Install inductive sensor IS2 on davit leg. Use green clamps to fix cable. (Picture 5)

12. Install cable for emergency launch switch ES1. Cable end has quick connector. Use
green clamps to fix cable. Make sure that safety pin is installed on bracket for switch,
and inserted. (Picture 6)

13. Install accumulator ACC1. Connect hose from power unit with marking that
corresponds with marking on accumulator fitting. (Picture 7)

14. Connect power supply cable to control cabinet on power unit (Yard supply). Cable can
be run in pipe on left davit leg. Check that the transformers T2 and T3 are connected
for the correct voltage. Connect battery B1-B2. If the boat is fitted with a 42V supply
system for charger, install a cable from control cabinet to the charger plug. (Yard
supply)
15. Fill hydraulic tank with oil. The correct oil type is ISO VG 46. If ship is to be operated
in extremely cold waters contact maker for alternative oil selection. (Oil tank is to be
filled to the upper marking on the level glass.)
16. Close valve on hand pump on tank lid. Operate the pump until the winch drum start
moving. The direction for the winch should be up. Open valve again.

IF ALL ITEMS IN INSTALLATION PROCEDURE HAS BEEN CARRIED OUT WITH

NO PROBLEMS, DAVIT IS NOW READY FOR START-UP.
