Redefining OEM Service
Service and Support as Dependable and Reliable as our Products

As Hydril technology has advanced, so has our ability to serve our customers globally. Today,
Hydril manufacturing facilities in seven countries, authorized repair facilities on six continents and
dozens of distributors provide Hydril-quality services and expertise whenever and wherever you
need them most.

Safety is paramount, and while we have built our reputation on technologies that protect both
natural resources and oil field personnel, we continue to build long-term relationships by providing
levels of service and support as dependable and reliable as our products.

Count on Hydril for the quality parts, repair, field service, training and technical support that will
improve performance, extend equipment life and maximize uptime.

When you purchase Hydril products, you are automatically plugged into both a global team and a
knowledge database decades in the making. Since 1933, Hydril has been redefining reliability in oil
and gas drilling and production markets. We have developed successive generations of world-class
products that control extreme pressure and endure the harshest downhole conditions. Hydril offers
the combination of expertise, experience and product knowledge worthy of your investment.

Genuine Hydril Parts
When Quality is Critical

When you buy genuine parts from Hydril, you receive off-the-shelf parts manufactured to the highest OEM
standards. You also receive decades of innovation, years of product knowledge and a working partnership
with engineering and sales personnel structured around your rig and your people. You’ll see the difference in
performance and uptime.

RELIABILITY With increasing demands of modern drilling,

reliability has never been more critical. You depend on Hydril
equipment to deliver safely and effectively, day-in and day-out,
so don’t risk performance or equipment warranties on non-OEM

parts. Hydril replacement parts not only meet the high standards
of the OEM today, they are rigorously tested and continuously
refined so they will continue to redefine reliability well into
the future.

AVAILABILITY Quite simply, Hydril parts are there when you

need them. Our facilities contain the necessary equipment, raw
materials and personnel to keep in-demand parts in stock. With
expert engineering and manufacturing capabilities and an OEM
Elastomer Plant dedicated to producing elastomers for our
products, we also create less common parts to order and to the
highest OEM standards when urgency strikes. With today’s day
rates, this level of responsiveness is critical.
EXPERTISE—PERSONALIZED When you purchase
Hydril products, you enter a working partnership with a global
network of engineering, manufacturing and sales personnel
dedicated to the success of your rigs. This partnership yields
tangible, cost-saving benefits.

Your Hydril partners will take the time to understand your

drilling environment and your company’s philosophy regard-
ing spare parts and maintenance. Together, we will identify
critical needs and spares, eliminate unnecessary and duplicate
parts, and make sure that each rig has an operational and
cost effective spares stock. We will then create a unique part
number and spares list—the critical part inventory—to serve for
the operational lives of each of your rigs.

RESEARCH &
DEVELOPMENT Hydril is dedicated to testing
and improving our products and replacement parts. By
continually monitoring changes in technology that may impact
product performance, we are able to drive the necessary
advances in products and parts offerings to assure that our
products remain the best and most reliable in the industry.

For custom product and component test requirements,

consider Hydril’s Test and Demonstration Facility (TDF), located
at the Hydril Technology Center (HTC), which is available to
both Hydril customers and E&P companies.

LIFETIME
PRODUCT SUPPORT Whether you purchased
Hydril products yesterday or 50 years ago, you will receive
the support you need to keep your equipment operating. Our
engineering, manufacturing and sales personnel are united in a
common goal—helping you maximize the life and performance
of your Hydril equipment.
Remanufactured Equipment
Hydril Performance at a Reduced Cost

For quality, reliability and economy, there’s no comparison to a Hydril fully remanufactured blowout preventer.
Backed by our new product warranty—12 full months—Hydril’s remanufactured BOPs meet our high performance
standards for used equipment and cost less than a new blowout preventer. They also meet demand for quick

turnaround and fast delivery, as we maintain an inventory of popular models and sizes in stock.

Each BOP is remanufactured and tested by skilled technicians

on a dedicated line in our Hydril Technology Center. Each is
accompanied by an owner’s certification book documenting all
inspections, test charts and manufacturing procedures, and the
no-shortcuts policy that steers our remanufacturing process
assures your satisfaction.

PARTS AND EQUIPMENT Don’t forget Hydril’s flexible

equipment trade-in, exchange and buyback programs available
globally. Not only will you reduce your investment, you’ll keep
on drilling.
Field Service
You Can Rely on Hydril’s Extensive Service Network

When you purchase Hydril equipment, you receive access to a global network of certified personnel equipped
with the OEM experience and resources to solve your technical challenges. All members of our field service team
complete a rigorous training program. They are certified to work wherever you may need them, and they are
available to you any hour of the day or night.

Besides phone support, we also offer technical support via

online chat programs and through our Remote Service Network
(RSN), an optional service tool for Hydril control systems. It
allows Hydril technicians anywhere in the world with Internet
access to login to a customer’s system (equipped with RSN
hardware) for diagnostic purposes. When only a service call
will do, Hydril personnel are rarely more than a day away from
wherever you may be, anywhere in the world.

Hydril’s field service is truly the best of the best.

OVERHAUL AND REPAIR SERVICES

From major overhaul to minor repair, customers rely on Hydril’s extensive service network—a network built on
the experience of our factory-trained personnel. Whether in the field or in our facilities, you’ll receive a level
of expertise only available from a team trained in the Hydril Technology Center and plugged into the Hydril

HYDRIL TECHNOLOGY CENTER Home to one of our
many worldwide Overhaul and Repair (O&R) centers and our
Service Center, the HTC centralizes Hydril’s knowledge and
experience into one full-service destination. Our O&R facility is
dedicated to BOP family products, while our Service Center was
designed specifically to target control system component repair,
including the overhaul and repair of control stations and MUX
pods. Because both centers are located in the HTC, members
of our service team have total access to any OEM parts and
processes that may be required for the proper repair of your
equipment. Count on Hydril for:

• Choice. We evaluate your equipment, and within Hydril

standards for safety, you choose the repairs that meet your
budget and service guidelines.

times consistent with the latest expertise and current
best practices.

warranty issues.

HYDRIL CERTIFIED
REPAIR SERVICES Around the world, our network
of independent Authorized Repair Facilities (ARFs) provides
comprehensive service in support of Hydril’s products—includ-
ing ram and annular blowout preventers, pulsation dampeners
and drill stem valves. Each facility undergoes a rigorous inspec-
tion process, and it must demonstrate excellence in quality
programs, capabilities, equipment inventory and overall integrity
prior to earning certification.

When you choose a Hydril ARF, you choose a facility with a well-
established local reputation for exceptional work and customer
relations. In addition, all testing and remanufacturing is strictly
controlled and backed by years of experience in designing and
manufacturing blowout preventers and related products.

Hydril-certified facilities are committed to customer satisfaction,

and that commitment is backed by Hydril Company. Protect your
investment. Seek service from an authorized facility.
