Is Garuda Indonesia First Class Really 5 Star?

Assalamualaikum wr wb, good morning everyone, let me introduce myself. My name’s Mochamad
Fazri Faozan, I am student of University Technology Yogyakarta. It’s nice to talk about airlines,
especially the difference between the facilities and services provided by the two airlines, namely
Citilink A320 and Garuda Indonesia First Class. And is Garuda Indonesia First Class Really 5
Star?. I will begin by Citilink A320 which is an airline that has been frequently used by
Indonesians.
Fly on the Citilink A320

Citilink has a new dining experience service. If you have booked a flight ticket using
Citilink A320 with extra services, namely the new dining experience service, you can choose menu
options such as Refreshment, Main Course, and Sides before flight departure 48 hours, along with
ticket reservations. the dining experience is Rp. 550,000, about 40 US dollars, including priority
curb pick-up, check-in, fast track security and also getting extra leg room.

When 2 hours before departure you will get a WhatsApp message from Citilink officers.
The clerk will print the boarding pass and wait at the airport. So here's how you coordinate with
them and they know what time you drive, they'll take you around. When we get on the plane, we
will be greeted by Citilink A320 flight attendants who wear green clothes, but there is a difference
if we use dark green, namely senior flight attendants. And those who use bright green are junior
flight attendants. Flight attendants will escort to the seat and do a safety demonstration. After the
plane takes off, the flight attendants will approach and provide the meals that have been ordered
such as beef tenderloin, orange juice, dessert with a very friendly waiter when opening the tray
and placing the food. The taste of the food is also delicious, the food served is complete, starting
from Refreshment, Main Course, and Sides. If you want extra food and drink, you can pay for it
on the plane.

On the same plane, there are also many special seats for airplane tickets without extra
dining experience services, but the comfort you get is very lacking, such as the distance of the
seats that are close together, making passengers feel cramped and sore in their legs, especially if
we have a height of more than 180 cm. therefore by ordering this extra dining experience service
can be considered. This airline dining service is low cost for foreigners, however, I think airplane
tickets in Indonesia are still very expensive for most Indonesians. There's still lots of room to
improve. The number of passengers on the Citilink A320 aircraft is still low, with many empty
seats. There is no reason why airplane tickets cannot go down lower, because the fixed costs and
variable costs incurred by airlines are quite high.

Next I do like to talk about Garuda Indonesia First Class

Flying to Japan by Garuda Indonesia First Class is one way to experience Garuda
Indonesia's service. Garuda Indonesia has 3 destinations for First Class, namely Jeddah, London
and Tokyo. These three destinations use the Boeing 777 300ER aircraft. However, currently, first
class routes only exist on flights to Tokyo (Jakarta - Haneda and Bali - Narita). Meanwhile, flights
from Jakarta - Jeddah and Jakarta - London are gone. For domestic routes, first class flights are
available on the Jakarta - Bali route.

With Garuda Indonesia's First Class, we can experience First Class service even before we
fly. On the day of departure, Garuda Indonesia First Class provides Limousine Service with a
BMW 740 Li / Toyota Alphard that will pick you up from your home, or other location of your
choice to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Currently, our Limousine Service is only available
for passengers in the Greater Jakarta area (Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang & Bekasi), from or
to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. To enjoy this limousine service, you can call Garuda
Indonesia First Class , 24 hours before departure time. Garuda Indonesia First Class passengers
who are already at the airport will be escorted using a buggy across to the international terminal.

Enjoy Unlimited Hospitality

After being warmly welcomed by a special First Class Assistant in the Airport Drop Zone
Area, you will be escorted to the Drop off Room, which is a lounge where you will be spoiled with
a welcome drink and refreshment. Your personal First Class Assistant will also fully take care of
all travel procedures such as baggage handling, check-in and immigration processes. It's very
impressive, you sit down and someone else checks in, and they bring the boarding pass for you.
The First Class Assistant will then accompany you to the Garuda Indonesia First Class
Lounge private area for first class members, a VIP room with a very nice interior, every detail has
been specially designed for your comfort. Also available are a variety of reading materials, a small
library, a smoking room, a pantry, a prayer room (prayer room), a baby care room, and a private
bathroom. You can enjoy a wide selection of dishes and drinks such as traditional Indonesian food,
Asian and western food. For foreigners, Indonesian food tastes very spicy and the drink tastes very
sweet but has a lot of spices that are good for the body.

First Class Assistants are very concerned about passengers if we have a sore throat they
will bring hot lemon water with honey and clean all the seeds, this excellent service makes
passengers more happy with Garuda Indonesia's first class like royal treatment. Accompanied by
the strains of a grand piano, the Garuda Indonesia First Class Lounge is a luxury and comfortable
place where you can experience your destination before you even arrive. After enjoying the
comfort of the First Class Lounge, you will be asked to fill out a comment card about the
services of the First Class Lounge then you will be escorted to the plane with priority service
privileges during boarding or during transfers and transit as a form of Garuda Indonesia First
Class service.

After settling down, the first class flight attendants came one by one to introduce
themselves. I am very impressed by their professionalism. Each kneels on the seat, calls the
passenger by name, and in a warm manner welcomes the passenger on board the Garuda Indonesia
plane and wishes him a pleasant flight. passengers feel like they are welcomed into their home.
Then the flight attendants provide newspapers, magazines, exclusive stationery, cellar lists, dining
lists and amenity kits. Every flight attendant always kneels when approaching passengers and then
offers drinks such as champagne, signature drinks and juices. Signature drinks from Indonesia such
as ambarella (kedondong) which has a sweet and sour taste like a combination of pineapple and
mango. The flight attendants always provide services that make passengers happy with their
hospitality and provide services that are rarely done elsewhere. The flight attendants wear white
gloves, bring sandals for relaxation during the flight and ask passengers to take off their shoes and
then the flight attendants wrap the shoes and offer “Would you like to keep your shoes under
ottoman or I can put it in the large coat room and I will be returning your shoes before landing
”and after that the flight attendant brings pajamas for the flight. The first class clerk contacting the
passenger before the flight asked what size pajamas the passenger wanted, and it seems that the
information was passed on to the flight attendants. Although pajamas are simple, they are also very
comfortable. Then the flight attendants introduced the features of the flight.

Stewardess provide pre-dining service in the first class such as caviar served with crackers
and cream, they also offer what drinks passengers want. After that, the flight attendants offer the
main menu that passengers want, such as beef satay and lilit (original from bali) satay with peanut
sauce served on a very attractive plate. When the passenger is enjoying a meal, the flight attendant
makes the bed for the passenger. At night, the First Class cabin becomes more interesting to look
at, not only is it cream colored, but the cabin ceiling changes like the sky at night.
There are lights that are similar to stars in the sky, this is enough to make passengers feel
comfortable when they want to rest.

In the morning the chef from the plane offers what the passengers want, such as Japanese
food, international meridian and Indonesian specialties. If you choose Japanese food served are
fruits, rice, miso soup, tuna tataki, tofu tamago, beef tamago and some (Japanese food). The drinks
served also come from West Java, Indonesia, namely Bajigur which is made from coconut and
brown sugar, and served hot.
Approximately 30 minutes before landing, the captain provided the latest arrival
information as the crew slowly began preparing the cabin for landing. This included them
providing the white glove “shoe service” once again, where they'd take your shoes out of the
shoebags and place them by your feet. They also came with a Garuda Indonesia First Class branded
bag to bring home all the items that were given during the flight, including pajamas, amenities,
etc.
My Opinion About First Class Garuda

The best thing about Garuda Indonesia First Class is the privacy, and the five star cabin
crew. You feel like you are in an oasis, there is literally no passengers, no one around sharing with
you. You have absolutely command. The five-star cabin crew made me feel I am a royalty. I have
never seen any bad review in Garuda Indonesia First Class , everybody, every blogger rave about
it. And there is no reason to have a bad review on Garuda Indonesia First Class because they did
just so good. Kudos to the airline on this great product, and in particular kudos to the crew for their
heartfelt hospitality. Garuda Indonesia First Class is a 5-star airline service that everyone should
experience.
