    The Color of Serenity

     
    Serenity, I’ll bring to you. 
    Amidst the flowers and timeless bloom 
    Unchained, unburdened, unshackled from the past 
    I’ll keep you safe with me when we meet at last. 
     
    ‘Til then I’ll serve as your light from afar. 
    When the darkness falls I’ll be your star 
    Look up at the sky and know I’m not far 
    I’ll be the same as you - both tainted and scarred. 
     
    When morning comes it’ll bring us peace 
    We’ll see the colors that refuse to cease 
    I’ll hold you close throughout the sunrise 
    As we bask in the beauty of our paradise.
