Writing Task: You are helping to organize a visit to a college in an English-

speaking country for a group of students. You have received a letter from Michael
Slater, the College Director. Read the letter and the notes you have made. Then
write a letter to Mr. Slater using all your notes (about 120-190 words).

Dear Mr.Slater,
Thank you for your email! I am very happy and honored to be able to organize a visit to
your college this September. This is a very important trip because we will let groups of
students learn and communicate in English with the help of your college teachers.
Firstly,about accommodation, I would like to choose to live near English-speaking families. I
think all students will be happy and can get to know more people.I also want my students

talking and interacting with people in English so that they would be more socialize and less
shy.
Secondly,our group of students are mostly boys and they love to play sports,so they are
maybe very excited to participate in activities such as soccer,badminton,volleyball…Besides,a
few girls can entertain some light activities like singing and playing chess.
Finally,can you tell me what the weather is like there? I want to know,so that I can advice
students to bring suitable clothes for the weather there.
