Collaboration: Strong experience in complex environments collaborating with Subject Matter
Experts and Leaders at all levels designing, building and leading innovative solutions, using the
latest in authoring and editing technology and tools.

Blended learning strategies: Effectively use design documents in order to properly scope
projects. I include success criteria and methods of measurement. The resulting analysis allows me
to design a blended approach based on the audience, the scope, the metrics and outcomes. This
includes; instructor led asynchronous eLearning, synchronous learning such as virtual instructor-led,
simulations, video and audio, amongst others.

Metrics, measures and benchmarks: Vast experience using data-driven models in evaluating the
quality of learning to ensure that it is aligned to business needs and supports the organization long-
term strategy.

Instructional adult learning theory: Strong experience in learning theory. How do adults intake
and implement learning content in the workplace. Corporate learners need to know the “why”
behind the “what” and explanations of how these concepts will be put into place, as well as practical
application, levels of experience and introduction of a self-paced, self-directed approach.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

ACT1 Consulting July 2019 – Present


 Developed onboarding tools and resources as part of New Hire Portal landing page. Built videos
and interactive simulations. Results are increased levels of engagement as measured by
survey.

 Developed first Manager Development Portal. Integrated self-assessment and learning journeys
to augment leadership development workshops. Content aligns to newly created manager
promotion process and leadership core values.

 Using Articulate Storyline, developed early manager training modules incorporating branching
scenarios, gamification concepts aligned to key business strategy.
Oportun October 2015 – March 2019
● Using Articulate Storyline, I implemented process which will save > $600,000.00 in FY19
onboarding costs by successfully reducing the time to productivity by 60%. I have re-
engineered the process for which we onboard and assimilate newly hired employees
implementing a blended approach utilizing latest technologies and simulations to ensure
scalability across geographically disbursed employees.
● Designed and implemented new manager self-service with video, simulations and digital voice.
● Reengineered the LMS to support integration across the performance management system
● Architected the first university model to support multiple roles and career-paths
The University integrates on the job learning, instructor-led events, ongoing performance
support, case studies and external learning to ensure capabilities align with our corporate
business strategy.

2015
● Revamped onboarding process, platform and program for all new hires leveraging virtual
platforms and integrated social networks. My team partnered with regional HR to develop a
consistent Day 1 experience using the Taleo LMS user interface.
● Designed the framework for the New Manager Fundamentals program. Key stakeholders
are HR leadership. The New Manager Fundamentals program is a blended multi-modality
development program containing On-demand content, a Social Platform, Mentor supported
and a New Manager toolkit sitting on a Web-based user interface.
● Designed and delivered micro-learning modules for the sales team using Articulate Storyline
and Camtasia. The result was a scalable just in time learning approach to support customer
engagements.

● Architected the first formal University at Yahoo! based on competencies and capabilities as
defined by the business and measured by the metrics and KPIs that matter most to
leadership.
● Implemented learning paths by role and skills. Including; Retention, Engagement, Time to
productivity, Team productivity, goal completion and many more
● Launched the first ever “conference-like” learning program which allowed the participants to
self-select the tracks they wished to participate. This created a completely customized
experience for each learner.
● Delivered the first “Service 0” model of self-help leveraging internally built video how-to
guides giving employees rapid answers to most common issues. This resulted in a 45%
decrease in help-desk requests.

I founded and led a professional services and consulting firm specializing in custom instructional
design, development and delivery. We integrated change management services with the customer
key values to ensure outstanding customer focus, results orientation, quality and measurable
success.
