1. LIMIT STRUCTURE
We can have up to 12 levels in LIMIT structure with global limit, product limit, sub-product
limit and further 9 levels of multi level sub-product limit. So we have nine levels (0 to 8).

Limit hierarchy will start with product limit reference. If we creating a global level limit
reference, the limit hierarchy will start with GLOBAL limit reference. As per the limit hierarchy, 5260 limit
reference comes under level 0. Hence, it is must to attach 5260 to its parent or product limit reference.
Though we are not attaching the 5260 in REFERENCE.CHILD field in 5200 parent limit reference, system will
automatically consider 5200 as parent limit reference while creating the limit record. Because system will
know 5260 comes under level 0 and parent limit record should exist before creating limit record for 5260 limit
reference.
So, it is must to connect a sub-product or child limit reference(5260) to parent limit(5200) reference
before creating limit record for child or sub-product limit reference . Second PARENT limit reference must
have last two digits as (XX00). Such an id only will consider as parent limit reference.

LIMIT.REFERENCE GLOBAL OR PRODUCT LEVEL PARENT.REFERENCE SUB-PRODUCT LEVEL

10000 GLOBAL (field in LIMIT.REFERENCE)
1000 PRODUCT
1010 SUB-PRODUCT 0 1000 1 or null
1011 SUB-PRODUCT 1 1010 2
1012 SUB-PRODUCT 2 1011 3
1013 SUB-PRODUCT 3 1012 4
1014 SUB-PRODUCT 4 1013 5
1015 SUB-PRODUCT 5 1014 6

1019 SUB-PRODUCT 9 1018

2. ID CHARACTERISTICS
As per T24 design, ID characteristics for limit reference is shown below
Global product format nnn0000 e.g 0100000 or 0010000
Product format 000nn00 e.g. 0004500
Sub Product format 000nnnn e.g. 0004510, 0004511
Multi-level format 000nnnn e.g. 0004515

3. REFERENCE.CHILD
This field will only work at GLOBAL limit reference. If we mentioning only specific parent limit
reference in REFERENCE.CHILD field in GLOBAL limit reference, system will allow user to create global limit
record only for the respective parent limit refercence. Though we not mentioning sub-product or child limit
reference in REFERENCE.CHILD field in parent limit reference, system will consider automatically consider
its parent by knowing its level from SUB.PRODUCT.LEVEL field in LIMIT.REFERENCE record. Because, limit
hierarchy must start with PARENT or GLOBAL level and sub-product limit reference must connect to a parent
limit reference
