Art as an Experience- Ina VIII Print By: Hermel Alejendre is a creation by Hermel Alejandre,
an artist from Camarines Sur. This masterpiece depicts a unique culture in which people feast in
front of Neustra Senora de Penafrancia during Naga City's festival on the fourth Sunday in
September.

The type of art is a painting, which falls under the form of visual arts. It evokes an emotion
through an expression of skill and imagination.

I was able to identify two relevance of the artwork, which are: cultural and spiritual. Every September,
tens of thousands of pilgrims, devotees, and tourists come to Naga City, Philippines, also known as the
Pilgrim City and the Queen City of the Bicol region, for a nine-day religious festival honoring Our Lady of
Penafrancia, the Principal Patroness and Queen of Bicol, referred to by Bicolanos as Ina (mother).
