Cover Letter for Dell Machine Learning and Data Analytics Summer Intern

I am a new graduate from the department of Information Management from
National Taiwan University. Your recent job opening as a machine learning and data
analytics intern has attracted me deeply due to its challenging yet highly rewarding
job scope. Furthermore, having completed two previous internships and my master
thesis, I believe I possess the technical skills and experience to be successful at this
position.
During my last internship at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, I
was assigned the job of building a supply chain network to detect new entries to the
market including key competitors, customers and suppliers. By working with the
financial department and employing natural language processing techniques such as
entity recognition and relation extraction, I was able to build a highly accurate
prediction model, and win 3rd place in the final intern presentation with over 200
contestants.
In terms of language and communication skills, I have scored 980 out of 990 in
the TOEIC test and represented Taiwan as a young diplomat with the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs. Together with my analytical aptitude and learning ability, I am
confident in bringing a positive contribution to Dell.
With interning experience in both a young startup and a large domestic
enterprise, I would enjoy the experience of honing my skills as an engineer and
growing as a person in an international company. I appreciate your attention and
