From 08.92 onwards the VW type 1 (Beetle)

manufactured in Mexico will be equipped with an

electric fuel pump from Pierburg.

The pump is an in-line pump that is firmly integrated in

a pump unit and cannot be replaced as an individual
component.

In case of replacement the complete pump unit needs
to be exchanged.

Note:
Before replacing the pump unit the connections should
be cleaned thoroughly.
