We have a Christmas party on a Friday or Saturday night in December in place of that month’s meeting.
Our meetings start at 7:30 pm and usually run about one hour.
In January, April, July and October, we gather at 7:00 pm for our quarterly dinner before the 7:30 Meeting.

9:00am to 4:00pm. This event will include ALL brands of antique tractors and Heartland is
featuring Salt River Antique Power Association (Our Club) in their advertising for this
event. This advertising is free to us and should help boost our presence in the community,
so bring a tractor or other antique equipment and join in the fun.
Heartland in located 3 miles south of the Gene Snyder expressway on Bardstown Road.
Their actual address is 9812 Vista Hills Blvd, Louisville, KY. 502-239-8484.

Our Tractor Pull Team, headed up by Jimmy Hance, will be planning a full schedule of
events for the upcoming 2011 pulling season. Pulls will be listed on our Club web site at
www.saltriverantiquepower.com. If you have any questions on the pulls, please call
Jimmy Hance at 502-220-6016.
The 2011 Pull schedule is set, and you can find it on our web site and you can also get your
handy pocket Pull calendar at the February meeting. The first pull will be at the Shelby county
fair grounds on April 2nd, 2011 starting at 12:00 noon. This will be an indoor event so it will
happen, rain or shine. Come to pull or come to help. Either way, we want to see you there.

Plow Days are coming, but the schedule will have to be set as weather permits. We will try
to keep you posted through this news letter, our Club web sight and through Scott’s Club e-
mail list. By the way, if you are not on the e-mail list and you would like to be, you can send an
e-mail to Scott at plowboy@insightbb.com and Scott will sign you up.

Owenton, KY is hosting a 3 day show May 13th to May 15th, 2011 that will include an an-
tique tractor pull on that Saturday evening. We will have more details in the coming months.

Our June Show seems far away right now, but it will be here before you know it, and there
is a lot of work and planning that has to be done between now and then. It will be held on
June 3rd and 4th, 2011 at the Shelby County Fairgrounds. We need your help and support for
this event. There is something for everyone to do and we hope that you will pitch in.
This is our flagship event of the year that allows our Club to highlight our Club interests and
activities as well as to demonstrate our support of the local community.

Did you know that the January, 2011 meeting was cancelled due to very bad road conditions?
Well Mary Prather was able to freeze all of that good food and save it for our February, 2011
meeting. (She probably just set out on the back porch and let the weather do the rest)
Anyway, now the February meeting will be our quarterly dinner meeting, so come on out at
7:00pm on February 17th, and join the party. Don’t forget to bring a dish to add to the feast.

Several people have asked if they could list personal club related items (Tractors
and other farm related items) in this newsletter for sale and the answer has always been
absolutely, as space permits. With this issue, we have several items to list, and if you have
items that you want to sell, donate, or just give away, feel free to give the information to:
Teresa Scherffius
13000 S. Pope Lick Rd.
Louisville, KY 40299-4600
And we will make every effort to get it in the next issue.

Our first item for sale is a John Deere 2 cylinder stationary L.U.C. Power unit
Serial number C-61392. This engine comes with the radiator and a hand crank.
This is the same engine that is used on the J.D. Model L’s and LA’s. Our member
William Black says to call him at 502-839-5896 and make him an offer.

Our next items include two International tractors. One is a 1950 W-6 and the other is a
1954 Super W-4. Both have very good paint, new tires and belt pulleys. The W-6 has a freshly
rebuilt engine, and both start, run and drive as they should.
Call Steve at 502-244-5279.

Our Club has a fine assortment of caps and T-shirts that we sell to allow members to
market the Club and show their support for the Club. Our member Dan Moss will be glad
to equip you with the latest in fine Club ware at any Club meeting or at many of our Club
events.
We understand that Dan also has a few vintage Club T-shirts that have the older Club logo
left. We know that you will want to get one of these “special” shirts since they are already
becoming real collector items just like the tractors they represent.

Our Closing thoughts: 2011 promises to be one of our finest years ever with a large
assortment of events and activities. There will be shows, pulls, and social gatherings that will
be of interest to all genders and age groups. The more that you can do to get involved, the
more you and the Club will benefit.

to be in on the decision making process for our June show.
Also, if you have ideas and information about new shows and events that
our Club might be interested in, bring it to share with the group.
