Learning Experience
3 Flashback as learners

Learning Experience 3 is your first step into the realm of teaching that you could one day
picture yourself in. The passage, on the other hand, will transport you back to a time when you,
too, were a learner, just like the students you would encounter at the school where you are now
placed as a preservice teacher. This structured memory of experiences should help you identify
with the students you'll meet in this field study program. Keep in mind that you were once young
learners

Activity 1:  Recalling one’s experiences in early childhood (kindergarten), late childhood
(elementary), and adolescent period while in school.

Instructions:  Organize yourselves in Discussion Groups of three virtually (you can use
google meet) to gather the necessary data you need for this episode.  If it is difficult for you to
meet in a group, you can do it individually.

1.  There are three focal topics each group will discuss one after the other.
a. Interesting things we did when we were in Grade I.  
b. Interesting things we did when we were in Grade VI.
c. Interesting things we did when we were in High School.

2. Each group of 3 members will fill out the forms.  Each of you will take one column and
write your experience.  Column 1 is the member ID.  Assign who will A, B or C.  Do not
write your name to secure or protect the disclosed information.  In Column B write 3
experiences and in Column C write the domain of the experiences– physical/motor,
Mental (literacy/Cognitive/ Intellectual), and social-emotional.

            Note:  If you work by yourself, do not fill out the Members ID B and C.
