As a future teacher its very important to understand and learn about the terms and concepts in
managing and implementing standards-based grammar and teaching because we studied four years in
college to prepare ourselves for a big role. A saying goes by “we cannot teach what we cannot have”.
We need to learn all this to qualified as a teacher. A teacher must master his/her subject matter to teach
effectively with competence. Learning grammar is important it helps us avoid confusion and become a
good communicator. As a future English teacher so that we are aware if our made a mistake in learning
grammar. Mastering the grammar can make an effective teacher competence and able to teach well to
his/her students. Learning and understanding terms and concepts of grammar will helps teacher identify
the technical error of the students in constructing sentence or any grammar related activity. Knowing
the differences between these components of grammar knowledge future English teacher to be more
effective and competent. It doesn’t matter if a future teacher in English is not a good speaker in English
what matters most is he/she understand what grammar is and he/she can impart the knowledge to
students.
