    SOP FOR HYDROTEST

    • Objective
    ➢ To ensure that the purified water storage & distribution tanks is leakage proof from Nozzle
    Joints & Weld Joints.

    • Purpose
    ➢ The purpose of this sop is to provide a guideline for carrying out the Hydrotest for Storage &
    Distribution Tanks.

    • Reference
    ➢ Pressure Gauge

    • Responsibility
    ➢ Installed & Executed by Komal Industries
    ➢ Witnessed by Client

    • Procedure for Hydrotest

    ➢ Hydro-pump & suitable or required range pressure gauge are required for hydro test of RO
    system.

    ➢ Fill the system with water.

    ➢ Close the SS TC end Blind & also connect the valve.

    ➢ Connect the hydro-pump at the supply line with suitable or required range pressure gauge.

    ➢ Pressurize the system up to 1.5 times of design pressure with hydro-pump.

    ➢ Observe the pressure gauge reading after achieving the required pressure in the system.

    ➢ Hold this pressure in the system for minimum 1 hour.

    ➢ Mark this pressure reading in pressure gauge.

    ➢ Observe this reading after 1 hour. If this pressure drop down, it means there are leakage then
    check this leakage position in System. Rectify this leakage & repeat this same procedure of
    hydro-test.

    ➢ If there is no drop of pressure in pressure gauge, it means hydro test is ok.
