Prepare the cloth,
trace the shape
onto the cloth
Step 1:
Fold the cloth into half with the
front (right) side facing each
other (Refer Diagram 1)
Step 2:
Use the template and trace the

Step 3:
Cut out the shape (Refer to
Diagrams 2 and 3)

Step 1:
Place the curved part of the

machine. Ensure that it is not

Bottom Step 1:
Open the cloth with the seam
facing up and place it on the
sewing machine. Flatten the

3 seam to 1 side and ensure that


it is not too close to the edge of
the seam (Refer to Diagrams 1

Step 2:
Sew along the flattened seam

Sew along the flattened seam

Step 1:
• Place both outer and inner
layers facing each other (Refer
to Diagram 1)
• Ensure that top and bottom of
both layers are aligned (Refer
to Diagrams 2 and 3)
Step 2:

of both layers together.
• Ensure that it is not too close to
the edge of the cloth (Refer to
Diagrams 3 and 4)

Securing Both
Layers
Step 1:
• From either side, turn the cloth
inside out (Refer to Diagram 1)
Step 2:
• Place the mask on the sewing
machine and sew the top and
3 4 bottom sides of both layers
together. (Refer to Diagram 2)
• Ensure that it is not too close to
the edge of the cloth (Refer to
Diagram 3)

Making the ear loops
1 Right side facing out

Preparing the
ear loops
Step 1:
Measure the elastic band and cut out
2 pieces of the appropriate size
(Approx. 20cm for S Size,
25cm for M Size &
30cm for L Size)

3 4 Step 2:
Place 1 elastic band on 1 side and
fold in twice. Make sure the width of
the last fold is slightly wider than the
width of the elastic band. (Refer to
Diagrams 1 – 3)
Step 3:
Repeat Step 2 for the other side

Completing the
ear loops
Step 1:
Put one side of the folded mask on the
sewing machine. Sew the ear loop
fold. Make sure you are not sewing on
the inner layer of the mask or the
elastic band (Refer to Diagram 1)

Step 2:
Repeat Step 1 for the other side (Refer
to Diagrams 2 – 3)

5 Step 3:
Tie the 2 ends of each side of the
elastic bands to complete (Refer to
Diagram 4)
