Closing Speech
Today is the memorable 16th December Victory Day. This is the day of our pride, and
every year we remember this day with reverence. We have brought freedom, we have
won, we have expelled the divisive rulers. For giving us this bright future,
firstly I would like to thank the 3000000 martyrs and their sacrifices. Next, I
would like to thank all the wonderful people who performed and the people who gave
us the time from their busy schedule by being present here. Truly, thank you for
your valuable effort and time. Ever since getting our freedom, our country has been
improving gradually. The annual GDP growth has gone up from -13.97% in 1972 to
8.15% in 2019, showing our great progress. And throughout this, Japan has been a
valuable friend to our country by providing help regarding the infrastructure
development as well as various PPPs. Recently, even in the technological sector,
BJIT which is a joint venture with Japan, has had significant contribution.
Thinking back, this friendship must be predestined considering how even our flags
are so similar. As time is limited, I would like to formally end this event but
hope that our spirit of freedom and the friendship among two countries will never
end.
