1 Installation Guide

Step 1 Log in to the FusionCompute web client, click About in the upper right corner of the page,
and check whether the FusionCompute version is 6.3.0, 6.3.1, 6.5.0, 6.5.1, or
6.5.1.SPC1. If the FusionCompute version is one of the five versions, perform the
following operations. Otherwise, no further action is required.

Step 2 Check whether there are tasks in the Running status on the Task Center tab page. If
there are no such tasks, perform the following operations. If there are such tasks, perform
the following operations after the tasks are complete.

Step 3 Use WinSCP to copy FusionCompute_6.5.1.HP3.zip to the /home/GalaX8800/ directory

on the active VRM node. Use PuTTY to log in to the VRM node (if the VRM nodes are
deployed in active/standby mode, log in to the active VRM node first) as the gandalf user
and switch to the root user, and run the unzip FusionCompute_6.5.1.HP3.zip command
in the /home/GalaX8800/ directory to decompress the package.

Step 4 Go to the FusionCompute_6.5.1.HP3 directory and run the sh install.sh command. If

success is displayed, the patch is installed and has taken effect, as shown in the
following figure.

Step 5 If VRM nodes are deployed in active/standby mode, log in to the standby VRM node and
repeat Step 3 and Step 4.

Step 6 Wait for 3 to 5 minutes and log in to the FusionCompute web client again. Check whether
services are running properly. If the services are loading on the web client, clear the
browser cache and refresh the login page.

2 Performing the Rollback

If an exception occurs during the installation, perform the following steps to roll back the
installation:

Step 1 Log in to the FusionCompute web client and check whether any task is in progress in the
task center. Perform this operation when no task is in progress. Use PuTTY to log in to
the VRM node (if the VRM nodes are deployed in active/standby mode, log in to the
active VRM node first) as the gandalf user and switch to the root user, and run the sh
rollback.sh command in the FusionCompute_6.5.1.HP3 directory. If information similar
to the following is displayed, the rollback is complete.

Step 2 If VRM nodes are deployed in active/standby mode, log in to the standby VRM node and
repeat Step 1.
Step 3 Wait for 3 to 5 minutes and log in to the FusionCompute web client again. Check whether
services are running properly. If the services are loading on the web client, clear the
browser cache and refresh the login page.
